Khaie wins big time, breaking the content clutter in Pakistani dramas with a gripping tale of survival and revenge. While we are used to victims and female characters shown as crying and accepting their fate, in Khaie, for a change, our protagonist is both a female and a victim, but she is driving the situation and not willing to accept defeat.

New Targets For Zamda
After Channar’s son Asfandyar falls victim to her dark plans, Zamda has eyes on her new targets, which are Apana and Barlas – two cousins who have fallen in love with each other despite Apana being engaged to her other cousin Pamir.
The latest two episodes were a treat to watch as the flow of events and plot twists seem well-thought out and sharply executed, leaving no room for audiences to feel as if the story was not well-knit.
Zamda has managed to convince her new family that she has no option but to make a life for herself here now. Though Zamda staying so happy and being so concerned about everyone should be something to wonder about, and invoke a sense of caution towards her from the Duraab clan. But then, on the other hand, they can’t even picture in their wildest dreams that Zamda would dare think of revenge, or that she had anything to do with Asfandyar’s death
Zamda’s Dark Side
Zamda is completely dark and devoid of any emotion other than revenge and hatred. Appreciation for the drama portraying this thought process by revealing Zamda’s mindset as she visualizes the killing of Apana and Barlas, and subsequently, imagines slashing Pamir’s throat the minute she sets eyes on him. She is even making sure to forge a relationship with Channar Khan’s youngest child.
We expect Duraab Khan of all people to be sharper and not trust Zamda too much. A person with his experience, cunning and ruthless temperament should be shown to at least have some reservations about her – a girl whose entire family was wiped out by his son.
Return Of Badal Khan
Badal Khan returns with a vengeance and we are absolutely loving the new angle of Zamda and Badal taking revenge for the Duraab clan’s brutal actions. Badal visiting the mazaar and Zamda meeting him there was a heart-winning twist and gave viewers an exhilarating experience. Badal has turned into a force that is silent yet one to be reckoned with.
But we are confused about one thing, did Badal give Zamda the phone? Or was Zamda informing him that she has a phone he can contact her on? How will he get her number? Or will he have his old number and she will message him?
Pulling In Audiences
Another win for the drama is the fact that, despite Khaie being so dark and violent, audiences are still rooting for Zamda. They feel satisfied and a sense of revenge as Zamda continues with her plan.
An Endearing Love Story
Apana and Barlas are the only colourful souls in the darkness of Khaie and the unforgiving world of Duraab and Channar. The secretly snatched moments of love and affection between these two are cute and reflect the purity and innocence of their relationship.
The most interesting thing is that, while audiences are liking the love story of Apana and Barlas, they are also on Zamda’s side and waiting to see how Zamda will exact vengeance through their deaths. On the one hand, Khaie reminds us perhaps, the reality that extreme loss sometimes makes one devoid of any feelings of forgiveness, it also reflects that as people, we might lose our ability to sympathize with others, or care about the loss of the human element from our thought process. Because at the end of the day, Apana had nothing to do with the murder of Zamda’s family. But we all might just be okay with it because Zamda’s family too, were innocent victims of a heinous and violent crime.
