Khushhal Khan, actor and model is a spark of energy known for his upbeat personality. Khushhal Khan has been a star in the making and with his current projects, he has secured his spot right in audiences’ hearts.
His recent performance in Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri has garnered great interest and our Editor Rabia Mughni caught up with the hunk Khushhal Khan in Dadar at the sets of Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri! As Khushhal sat amidst Dadar’s picturesque mountainous region chewing on some all-natural grass btw, he seemed quite at home and spoke about his character, take on love and lots more.
Matters Of The Heart
Rabia started off by asking him if he is the kind of guy to be willing to do anything for the girl he loves? Even buy her bangles. (You know basically, the old school love) He shared: “I would do anything for a girl, I will buy chooriyan, gajray, anything!”
Saim In Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri
Speaking on Saim’s character in Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri, when asked if he had any concerns about his character having a streak of aggression and being very emotional, did he fear being type casted? He says: “Saim is not an aggressive character, yes he may be a bit jazbaati but iss age mai jo Saim face karaha hai apni life main, he does tend to get a little more emotional” It’s rather justified according to his age, if he was a bit older then it sure wouldn’t have made sense.
He further added on the possible fear of being type casted: “I don’t want to do too many characters older than my actual age. I will never be 23/24 again or forever so I might as well take these roles that fall in that age bracket.”
On Marriage & Emotional Decisions
When asked if Saim and Zubia will regret their rash decisions, he replied: “Realistically you don’t have a control on your emotions at that age, if you are past that age then you understand these things.”
Khushhal’s pov on whether Saim ke rishtay ke demand bewaqoofi hai? He said he “believes nikkah aur engagement hojani chahye aur ho sakti hai, rukhsati beshak baad mai kerlay, jaisay parents ke marzi hou.” “When you are committed to a person, you save yourself from a lot of other negative distractions maybe. But Saim and Zubia know the difference between good and bad so there is nothing wrong with getting engaged.”
Were There Any Possible Concerns For His Character?
When asked if there were concerns, he had about the messages his character was giving away? “Yes, we did change a lot of things. Some of his actions in the script weren’t justified, even if there is a word we feel is not right, we change it!”
He hints at the future story line, also set to showing the consequences of Zubia and Saim’s behavior, for them and also as repercussions for their behavior towards their parents.
While sharing unforgettable incidents on set, he shared he was taken to the hospital twice during the shoot for the drama while shooting some heavy-duty scenes. He described how at one instance he had blood gushing from his head, and another led him to get a big cut across his chest.
Working With Dananeer
On working with Dananeer: “It was an amazing experience, this was just her 2nd project, and she does it so naturally, brings a lot of energy, is a sweetheart and the life of the set BUT second to me, have to add that!”
His Perspective On Love As A Young Adult
When asked about the matters of the heart and the type of love he believes in, he coyly shared; his type of love is selfless love because the way you have pictured the person in your head, your imagination nobody can change that. But love remains a very complicated matter for him in the sense that he doesn’t really understand it and prefers solely loving his work at the moment.
At his perspective being a young adult in his early 20’s, we wanted to know does he look at love practically or has a dreamier approach?
He said: “You undeniably have a dark side and that comes out with your inner most circle. Everybody has that side, when you fall in love with a person, you fall in love with that side too.” He further said he believes in putting his logic to rest in the matter of love.
Well, that was interesting to know. Are you following the young onscreen couple’s journey of unlucky in love? What are your thoughts on their performances?
