“Larkiyan jab job kernay nikaltee hain to unkey ghar walay aisa kiyon sochtey hain kay unkay saath kaam kerney waley saray farishta hon, shadee shuda hon, dus bara bachon kay baap hon, mumkin ho to andhey bhi hon aur goongey bhi.”
The struggle of all working women captured beautifully by Kuch Ankahi

Thanvi vs Phoppo
Thanvi’s proposal sequence with Phuppo trying to teach him a lesson was so well-executed, making us smile non-stop and laugh out loud. Not only was the comic timing perfect, the manner in which the entire household was involved one way or another just made it so much more fun to watch.
Marriage For Women – Choice Or Necessity?
But why does everyone want Phuppo to get married? Is it by virtue of her being a single woman?
While Phuppos’ story is interesting and funny, it also reflects the thought process ingrained within us, that a woman has to get married, no matter what. Letting a woman live alone without a husband is not what we as a society want to do. Shaadi is the ultimate goal and solution for every woman.
Salman’s Comic Timing & Honesty
Phuppo and Salman… love the interaction between the two. The fact that she seems to actually give importance to what he says and trusts him is endearing. She recognizes the honesty in him and though she pretended to show attitude with him also, deep down, she was listening to each word that he was saying.
The Drama Within The Drama
Aliya, Salman, Sehrish, and Azfar… all four of them keep us engaged in their story and we wait to see who will make the next move.
The air in the boardroom was heavy with tension as Aliya and Salman met face-to-face to try and establish their respective bosses’ power and stance. Salman’s cautious attitude was evident from his posture and how he dealt with Aliya, Aliya’s was visible through the way she slid the file toward him aggressively.
Working Girl Challenges
Aliya’s words to Salman about Azfar and the situation for working girls were very important and an on-point representation of how many working women feel.
The Grey In Salman
Salman is someone we feel we have seen or met around us. He is not toxic but he carries streaks of grey. Jealousy makes him possessive and doubtful about Aliya, but we also see a journey of growth in him, thanks to his mother and Aliya.
It was uplifting to see Samiya purchasing the generator with her own money and becoming firmer in her attitude, yet never misbehaving with her mother-in-law.
