Kiya Salman ka kabhie naram kabhie garam behavior is making Aliya not trust him or is Aliya being a little cold hearted? Kiya Samiya ki soch sahih hai about “log kiya kehngey?”
The Balance In Our Lives
Kuch Ankahi beautifully balances the negative and positive human behaviours, in everyday life but most importantly on special occasions. From Salman’s mother trying to subdue the negativity of Saif’s mother, to Sofia losing her patience with Saif’s mother. It also shows how a few positive souls can help sort out negative situations.
Showing Us The Mirror
From fat shaming to subtly highlighting the issue of lena dena and showing extravagance in weddings, Kuch Ankahi is giving you many things to think about, realising how we are unconsciously part of the culture and maybe also, giving us the guidance and courage to walkaway from it.
Father-Daughter Conversations
Appreciation for the drama for portraying such a positive and supportive father who is there to facilitate things for his daughter and is ready to be the “hosla” she needs to take the leap of Faith. He also avoided taking the typical route of blaming the mother or just making her look bad. He explained how her’s is just a different point of view and way of looking at things.
Maybe Samiya is not wrong in what she said. The repercussions of her last minute ‘no’ will be far damaging than it seems if we go by log kiya kahengay. The whole family will have to relive the story of Samia Phuppo running away in the past. – A different face of log kiya kahengy highlighted in that conversation.
Aliya & Salman…
Whose side are you on? Salman and Aliya’s meeting at the rooftop was a picture of cute and some heart touching moments. Could Aliya have been a bit more agreeable with Salman? He did try to comfort her this time, not once but a few times during their conversation. But maybe Aliya has become over cautious after their past friction. However, she was about to share her frustration just before Salman interjected about him not breaking someone’s trust. Dil mein kuch kuch to hai dono taraf… 😉
However, we wish that dialogue from Salman about stereotypical girl talk could have been avoided. When he says to Aliya, let’s talk about what girls talk … and the manner in which he said it, seemed kind of condescending for girls.
Comic Relief With Shakeel
Ali inciting Tanya and then Tanya in turn just giving it to Shakeel was a hilarious scene, well performed by both. Also, special points to the drama for showing how religious minorities are accepted and welcomed in Pakistan. We are loving Salman’s mother’s character. What a positive and uplifting soul she is. Thank you, team, for giving us such characters.
Shagufta’s Call
Shagufta’s call to Samiya was insensitive and brutal. Shagufta jee why don’t you be brave and actually do something yourself to prevent the marriage from happening. The Samiya and Aliya scene was another heartwarming moment that made us teary eyed.
