Kuch Ankahi Balances Body shaming, Child Abuse & Working Women With Hints Of A Possible Romance!

Salman Vs Aliya, Thanvi Vs Sofia and Saif’s Amma Vs Shagufta…Are too many story lines contributing to the downfall of Kuch Ankahi?
Too Many Story Lines Colliding In One Narrative?
Despite having some great and much needed messages, the drama sometimes loses us due to too many story lines running in parallel. Just when we start getting involved with one, the drama switches focus to the other one. Maybe fewer story lines with a better balance between them in a single episode would have kept us more engaged.
The Beginnings Of A Possible Romance?
Salman and Aliya are back with their light nok jhok and dushmani. Looks like Salman has already fallen for Aliya, while Aliya is too engrossed in her family issues to even think about anything else. Fans were treated with a cute exchange between the two towards the end of the episode. We look forward to seeing more of them. Thanvi and Sofia Phuppo’s interaction was not only interesting but full of sparks. Looks like aag dono taraf lagi hai bus admit nahin ker paa rehay…Thanvi sahib’s expressions when he hands the gajra to Sofia phuppo spoke volumes.
The Dialogues Said Everything
Excellent dialogue exchange between the mother and Tania about body shaming. Tania’s confidence in herself and refusal to wear what her mother wanted her to, is a message to many young girls stuck in the same situation. Tania’s story is an excellent one, highlighting a prevalent issue amidst us.
Child Abuse & Child Labour Often Go hand In hand
Last but not the least, Deepak’s story points towards the perils of child labour. Deepak was probably sexually abused by the tailor but unable to express or say anything about it.
Despite some drawbacks, Kuch Akahi still leaves you with a smile and some food for thought at the end of the episode.
