Main Manto Nahi Hoon: Ace director Nadeem Baig gives TV audiences an entertaining cinematic experience with a touch of nostalgia for classic Pakistani film lovers.

At the same time, the viewer’s mind is boggled with questions like: Can we trust Manto? Has Farhad really changed? Or could it be Phuppo behind the murder? All sorts of wild theories keep running through the mind. What do you guys think?
The dance by Saima Noor was a treat to watch. With tears in Mehmal’s eyes, it truly felt like you were watching a film.
It definitely took everyone by surprise when the drama revealed that Manto was the eyewitness to the murder.
The script has cleverly dropped hints and dialogues that keep the audience suspecting one character at one moment and another character the very next.
Isn’t it too much of a coincidence that Manto happened to be at the same place where the murder took place, and that he saw it all unfold?
With so much money in his hands now, and with a father who was involved in questionable activities, can we really believe that Manto is harmless? Is he the one trying to frame Farhad? Does he have some old dushmani with both the Siraj and Bin Yamin’s families, and now wants them both destroyed by making them kill each other?
But then, can Farhad really change? Again, it feels too perfect—he has his siblings as witnesses, conveniently proving that he was with them and not involved in any murder. A little too goody-goody, perhaps? Hats off to Azaan Sami Khan though—the way he performs Farhad, you sense innocence, but at the same time, there’s a sinister undercurrent when you watch him. And what about that conversation around Maghrib prayers—was it actually a secret command to his people?
Is Phuppo the mastermind behind all this? Could she be seeking revenge and refusing to let things settle so easily? And does she really want Mehmal to marry Manto?
Could Phuppo’s dialogue—“Jin ki shaadi kahin aur tey ho, aur mohabbat kahin aur ho jaaye? Unka qasoor to hota hai”—be the key to this entire puzzling mystery?
And what about Ms Maria? Have we been underestimating her role in all this?
The promo showed Ifrah last week. So what’s the connection here? Is it just a distraction, with only a flashback ahead? Or will Ifrah really return?
