Billo and Baala are certainly keeping us entertained in Mitti De Baway, but for very different reasons!
While Billo seems to have mastered the art of getting what she wants, Baala is already thinking about a second marriage. And here we were, thinking things couldn’t get any more complicated. Episode 11 gave us Billo’s clever little move with Peer Saeen’s property documents, while Baala’s proposal to Qamrunnisa has given viewers something new to talk about. One is busy securing her interests, and the other seems ready to start another chapter of his life. But are we impressed by their decisions, or do we have a few things to say?
Let’s talk about Billo first. This woman knows what she wants, and she isn’t exactly waiting for someone to hand it to her. Getting Peer Saeen to sign the property documents without making her intentions obvious was quite a move! But should we really be applauding her cleverness when it comes at someone else’s expense? Billo has been through enough to make us understand why she wants security, but understanding her circumstances doesn’t mean we have to agree with everything she does. That’s what makes her such an interesting character. She can make us sympathise with her one moment and question her intentions the next. And now that the property papers are involved, we have to wonder whether Peer Saeen has any idea of what he has agreed to. Billo may be playing the long game, but how long before someone catches on?
And then we have Baala, who seems to have found himself a new love interest in Qamrunnisa. Now, we have to ask: is he right in wanting to marry again, or is he being unfair to Zareena? Their relationship has hardly been a bed of roses, and Baala’s decision to propose to another woman raises questions about where Zareena stands in all of this. Does their troubled marriage give him the right to move on, or should he first address the problems between them? Marriage is complicated, and we cannot pretend that every unhappy couple should stay together. However, Baala’s decision deserves a closer look, especially when Zareena is still part of the picture. At the same time, we cannot deny that Hina Afridi and Wahaj Ali make an interesting pair on screen, and their chemistry has viewers curious about what comes next. But enjoying their scenes is one thing; deciding whether Baala is doing the right thing is quite another!
There’s something about seeing these two actors share the screen that makes us curious about where their story might go. Hina brings her own charm to Qamrunnisa, while Wahaj keeps Baala interesting even when we aren’t entirely convinced by his choices. And isn’t that the fun of watching a drama? We can enjoy a pairing without agreeing with everything the characters do. Whether you’re already rooting for Qamrunnisa and Baala or still have reservations about this track, there’s plenty to discuss.
Baala seems to have reached a point where he is ready to build a life with someone else, and Billo may no longer be at the centre of his thoughts. Billo, however, appears to have other plans. While Baala looks towards Qamrunnisa, Billo is busy securing the property papers, making us wonder whether she wants financial stability, revenge, or perhaps both. There is something interesting about the way people respond to being hurt: some try to leave the past behind, while others cannot feel at peace until they believe they have settled the score. Billo seems to belong to the latter category, but will her plans give her the satisfaction she is looking for?
Whose choices make more sense to you this week, and who deserves the points?
