- Saad & Maheer planning to go out and Areeb walks into the house.
- Saad & Maheer out on a date and Areeb calls Maheer
- Saad & Maheer In the Car & Areeb’s ghundas follow them
We think we need to arrange a date for the two of them on the rooftop at home, away from Neelo & gang, as well as Areeb. Or perhaps a virtual date might work, where only these two can go online & meet alone. Your ideas are welcome!
No One’s Telling Anyone Anything
“Tumne bhi tou hamdardi mein shaadi ki hai na mujh se.” Maheer still thinks that Saad did her a favour by marrying her and it’s episode 26 already. Saad this was your golden opportunity to spill the beans, but you chose to remain silent.
However, Saad deserves brownie points for understanding that Maheer loves him when he told his mom – “Uske dil mein koi nahi hai, sirf mein hoon” finally! (But we still need proof, so Maheer jee, please have a heart and tell Saad what he knows in his heart, because we want to hear it too). But we wish Maheer stayed long enough to listen to Saad’s mother tell him that he loves her (since he will never tell her) – aadhi baat eavesdropping is becoming a popular pastime for all drama characters in Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha!
Toxic Level Alert
Finally, the toxic talaaq conversation was really not needed. Does Saad need to talk to Neelo about all her misgivings with Maheer? After all, she must have been quite traumatized after that motorcycle incident. Unfortunately, Neelo and her mom’s toxic behaviour reaches new heights in every episode and hence, we fail to sympathize with them.
Confused Areeb
Areeb, please decide if you hate Maheer or still love her. At one point, you send your ghundas to harass her and crash into her car, at another point, you call up to ask if she’s okay (in the same breath, uttering, muhabbat tou rahi nahi humaare beechh). If you wanted to hurt only Saad, you could have done it when he’s out alone, duh?
Also, if this is where the script was going Areeb in manic mode, then unfortunately, viewers have been deprived of an endearing love story between our hero and heroine and we feel seriously cheated to have watched so many episodes without any respite or meaningful conversation between Maheer & Saad.
Why is it okay for Faha to walk into a sleeping Areeb’s room and reach out to ahem…caress his face? Faha seems to be getting more romantic moments with Areeb than Saad & Maheer together – just saying! Do you agree?
