If you live in Pakistan you must’ve heard the buzz surrounding Suno Chanda. You could definitely call it the “Game of Thrones” of Pakistan from the cult following it has amassed so far. Wherever you go, you’ll keep hearing someone mention it. You can’t escape the “Suno Chanda fever”! So if you haven’t started watching it yet, here are a few reasons why you should!
The Sequel We Had All Been Waiting For

Season 1 told the story of a tight-knit family. Ajiya (Iqra Aziz) and Arsal (Farhan Saeed) played the lead roles. They were cousins who shared a strong bond. That is, until the elders in the family decided that they’d be perfect together…
Season 1 became an instant success. It won the hearts of many because it was so relatable.
No other comedy serial or Pakistani Drama could compare. Thus, the show got green lit for another consecutive season. Season 2 had the same wonderful cast of beloved characters. However, a few new faces made the cut as well.
As soon as the teaser was out, it set the bar high amongst the fans.

Season 2 opened with Arsal and Ajiya reaching a moment of clarity about their relationship.
Then, there was the unexpected arrival of Parveen aka Peeno (Arjumand Rahim) from Gujrat. Turns out she was an old flame of Nazakat Ali (Sohail Sameer) and still had feelings for him. The mayhem in Season 2 is thus, twofold now! On the other hand, Ajiya and Arsal are finding it troublesome to act like a traditional married couple. However, after some good old fashioned “desi interference” it seems like the petty fights are coming to an end.

Reasons It’s A Must Watch
An Inharmonious Couple: Ajiya is a strong-headed girl who has always wanted to study in London. However, Arsal always wanted a shy and introverted wife. Someone that Ajiya can’t become. Thus, it all boils down to their individual aspirations. Neither of them wants to compromise. They’re both stubborn and unwilling to cater to the other person’s demands. What will happen next? You’ll have to watch the drama to find out!
Brilliant Screenplay: The writer, Saima Akram Chaudhry, brilliantly maintained the pace of the characters from the first episode. Both seasons of Suno Chanda are relatable to a T. The joint family system in desi families, inter-family marriages and unrequited love are focal points of the script.

Nadia Afgan Shines Bright!: Nadia (Shahana) in Suno Chanda is a force to be reckoned with! With her ability to seamlessly mould herself into the character she’s playing, she has created a cultural icon in the face of Shahana. Her Punjabi accent is a highlight many impatiently wait for. Moreover, her role as a supportive mother-in-law is a great change in pace. The masses are definitely tired of vindictive women creating obstacles for their “bahus”.
Suno Chanda S2 Does Not Disappoint
Suno Chanda Season 2 stays true to its roots.Casting a diverse range of characters was a great decision! As season 2 comes to an end, it’s safe to say that Suno Chanda has proved to be the best comic relief to the Pakistani audience.
