7th Sky Entertainment has brought another rom-com for the viewers – Shahrukh Ki Saaliyan, a pure dose of comedy.
Written by comic genius Muhammad Younus Butt and Directed by virtuous Mazhar Moin.
Shahrukh Ki Saaliyan revolves around Shahrukh and Anoushey whose love story begins accidentally. Can their true devotion towards each other transcend all the obstacles put in their paths? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
A Star Studded Cast
Like always, 7th Sky Entertainment has not disappointed the audience with the choice of actors. Everyone looked peppy in the promotion song. The comic relief provided by the talented cast tickled the funny bone every single time.
With a powerful OST, Abdullah Kadwani & Asad Qureshi introduced uber talented Ahsan Khan as Shahrukh and emerging star Ramsha Khan as Anoushey in the lead roles.
The first episode introduces Shahrukh as a handsome guy struggling to land on his feet. Meanwhile, he must also manoeuvre his relationship with his roommate ‘Glucose’ and love-struck colleague Komal.
Moreover, we meet the skittish and unpredictable police constable, Rehan Sheikh. A man of typical mindset whose mind is crimped with social rituals. He desperately wants his oldest daughter to get married first.
Meet Shahrukh Ki Saaliyan
If one focuses on the name of the drama, it also hints towards the mischievousness of the older three sisters of Anoushey. They seemed to be not so-easy-going in the first episode. Arooba Malik (Kitty), Faiza Ali (Mikky) and Namrah Shahid (Nigar) are playing the character of older sisters of Ramsha Khan, having completely different personalities from one another. Who knows what the saaliyan have in store for Shahrukh?!

Ahsan Khan & Azfar Ali Deliver Like Always
A flip from serious to comedy, Ahsan Khan’s spellbound performance has left the audience awe-struck. Seeing Azfar Ali after a long time on screen was a treat. He plays the role of Abbas Sahab, the boss of a renowned News Channel – Live TV. Abbas Sahab is Anoushey and Shahrukh’s superior and the main antagonist of the drama.

“Shahrukh Ki Saaliyan has a different story line from other dramas I have directed – Haiwan, Qudusi Sahab Ki Bewa and others. The drama narrates conventional reality … and depicts overcoming social obstacles. We have conveyed this serious issue in a lighter way which doesn’t offer anything except pure entertainment.” Mazhar Moin stated.
The dialogues, situations and reactions are relatable which Moin has polished and embellished more with his directorial prowess. From direction to acting to set design to other minute details everything seemed flawless and promising.
“A director needs to understand every thick and thin of the drama. Each person has a different role to play and a director is the one whose shoulders are the heaviest with responsibilities and his deep knowledge, expertise and command is needed. We should deliver what we say and commit to, and I am sure people are not going to lose interest.”
