Empowering Amputees In Gaza
Bioniks has launched an impactful initiative targeting the urgent needs of amputees in Gaza, a region severely affected by ongoing war and limited healthcare resources. Many individuals in Gaza face significant challenges in accessing prosthetic limbs, often relying on donor countries like Qatar and the USA for help. These prosthetics, however, lack advanced technologies such as AI integration.
To address this, Bioniks is establishing an advanced prosthetic limb manufacturing facility in Cairo, Egypt. This facility will leverage AI technology to produce high-quality, personalized prosthetics for individuals in Gaza and surrounding areas. By partnering with local clinics in Gaza, Bioniks has developed a streamlined process where clinics use a proprietary app to take precise measurements of patients. These measurements are sent to the Cairo facility to create customized prosthetics, ensuring a perfect fit for each recipient.
The initiative also includes collaborations with clinics and an airline to facilitate faster delivery of these life-changing prosthetics, providing a beacon of hope for amputees in Gaza and beyond.
