The brilliance of Pamaal is that the one character audiences despised is now garnering sympathy and audiences are not ready to let him go – that is Raza. Not just that, Pamaal keeps amazing you with the storyline, the symbolic representation of emotions or events, like Malika walking alone in a deserted place and Raza’s voice calling her, is also another win for the storytelling.

Well, we are sure none of us predicted Raza having only 40 days to live. It is a heart-wrenching twist, and you can’t decide who one should feel for more? Raza, who had just started turning into a better person; Malika, who has had it tough and is literally not capable of living without him; or little Hadia, whose world revolves around her father.
We wonder if the objective of the drama is to show how, when we don’t let women grow, it cripples them for their entire life and they become hugely dependent on people around them.
What will Malika do now? How will she face this reality?
Will she also become dependent on Shahood just like her mom was dependent on her brother?
Will Malika learn from her life and not let Hadia become another Malika?
The audiences might not always agree with Malika’s mother, but she has stood by her daughter no matter what.
Her advice to not tell Raza the truth about Shahood and how Safia treated Malika worked, as now Raza has witnessed the reality with his own eyes.
Shahood’s turnaround was also very emotional and a big relief. At this moment Raza and Malika need him. And right after Raza’s death, Malika will need his help.
The drama highlights the cause of men’s mental and physical health, how Raza ignores his health and keeps working despite running a fever. This was definitely something relatable for a lot of families and men. Often men are seen disregarding their health as work takes priority. While watching the drama one gets frustrated and irritated with Malika for not realising that Raza is going through something serious and that his fever should be taken more seriously.
The visual representation of what Malika’s sixth sense is cautioning her about was beautiful and sad at the same time. Her walking alone in an area, lost, and hearing Raza call out her name was a heartfelt representation of what was about to happen or how Malika will feel when she will not have Raza with her.
Raza was one character audiences couldn’t stand and now he has changed over time. Life made him face some tough realities but sadly, now he doesn’t have time to make up for all the damage he has done. We wonder if there is any action Raza can take before he leaves that will help Malika in her future life, and that can undo the damage he did to her.
