Pardes is giving us reasons to keep watching every episode without missing a beat!
The double episode belted out so much onscreen, that despite the time commitment – 2 full on episodes back to back, we couldn’t take our eyes off the screen. And here’s why!
1. The moment when Ibaad walks in at the hospital
Just as we had given up on Ibaad joining Ayeman at her bedside, in walks the hero, in true hero style. we have to say, we were stumped and the faint at heart definitely rolled a tear or two, did you not?
2. Asim & Noshy standing outside the run down hospital
They say, Karma is cruel – oh well, even as we raged at these 2 for their evil deeds pre Karma, we did feel a sense of deep, infact, intense pity. It had a lot to do with Mirza Gohar Rasheed who belted out a commendable performance. His aged, tired eyes and forlorn, defeated posture said it all at one glance.
3. Ayeman arguing with Ibaad after her son takes a bump on the head
This one was so real, we almost felt it in our homes. Her sense of helplessness, her anger, her controlled rage at not being able to have her husband, the father of her children, beside her in times of desperate need. Ayeman attempting to run the show single-handedly but not submissively, resonated with many young couples who strive to create sanity in a world that turns upside down, more often than not!
4. Rohail attempting to advise choti maa to bring back Ibaad
We loved the way he broached the topic. How relatable was it for choti maa when her own example was brought before her, to help her understand why family must stay together. Rohail’s words were delivered with a calm sensibility & feeling – we bet they touched a nerve. Sometimes it is the quiet yet poignant message that hits the right notes!
5. Ayeman telling Zoobi that forgiveness is the way to peace inside her heart
This was perhaps the final call. An Ayeman we had sided all along despite her bitterness, her anger and her outspokenness, now comes to a stage in her journey when she’s ready to forgive, and we are so with her. That, perhaps was one of many standout performances from Dur-e-Fishan that had our heart!
Pardes is winning on so many counts that we feel it necessary to laud the makers – director Marina Khan, writer Sarwat Nazir & the entire cast for gifting us a riveting story that we are sad to let go off very soon!

Balay balay! Ibaad returns in classic hero style twist & makes us teary eyed, keeping us glued to our screen.
Was Ibaad being selfish & a typical man, accepting the job without ever consulting Ayeman even if it was for the benefit of Ayeman & Ahsan?
Oh dear Pardes, we will miss you deeply. How aptly the drama depicts – from Zubi’s era to Ayeman’s – the evolution of problems when men go abroad to earn a living.
From paying property tax bills, taking the saas for her doctor visits, handling a baby alone, & in addition, facing depression & loneliness, Pardes wins on all accounts in portraying relatable & practical problems faced by wives/women managing life alone without husbands.
How beautifully Pardes shows that family always comes together, whether it is Zubi offering Asim & Noshi to move in with her or Rohail advising choti maa gently on why she should not make Ibaad stay away from his family.
