Qarz e Jaan is not coming slow. And whether we are invested in Ammar’s story or Burhan and Nashwa’s, one thing’s for sure, Asim and Bisma have us intrigued for now!

The drama must be applauded for showing a mature love story about to unfold in a Pakistani drama landscape that only till a few years ago, seemed to cater to only millennial love stories. But hold on folks, take a back seat as Bisma and Asim take hold of our hearts for now. The script not only shifts away from the typical hero-heroine romance, which is a big deal, seeing it is Yumna Zaidi and Usama Khan playing the leads, but also allows a seasoned, talented cast such as Tazeen Hussain and Faisal Rehman to entertain us with a heartfelt love story – the Pakistani drama industry evolves in baby steps and we’re taking notes!
Multiple Encounters
The first encounter between Nashwa and Asim was endearing to say the least. Where Nashwa’s surprise and excitement came together in an enthusiastic reaction which only Yumna Zaidi could mirror with such ease, it was great to see the interaction between Faisal Rehman’s character and Yumna Zaidi’s in one screen – a casting shout out here and also, the scene was well executed, giving us just the right feels.
But the episode was one full of multiple encounters as Bee Jaan meets Nashwa at the mall and asks her (unknown to them both) to select an outfit for herself. The smile moments in Qarz e Jaan keep the story balanced between intense and light moments, the drama cleverly navigating all plotlines with just the right emotion.
Nashwa’s Dadi And Her Hangups
While Ammar and Bakhtiyar were noticeably absent from the episode, there was enough to keep our attention with Nashwa’s dadi adding to the toxic in the story. Is she struggling through feelings of her own as she denies Bisma life’s pleasures? One wonders if the dadi has a backstory of her own.
While Asim and Bisma’s meeting was a much awaited one, Bisma being Bisma held on to her feelings with tight-fisted emotion as expected. It was interesting to see that Asim holds her responsible for denying his offer and she too, has previously (as shown in flashbacks) held him responsible for her marriage to Behzad. But the father-son duo of Burhan and Asim certainly have Bisma confused. Did Asim marry? Where is his wife? These questions must be plaguing her – answers she would rather not know perhaps.
Both Asim and Bisma have held on to the memories no doubt, Bisma, deep inside herself and Asim, disarmingly candid and probably more communicative in his stance.
What happens next between these two is what we hope we discover in episode next of Qarz e Jaan. Was there a conspiracy afoot to keep them apart? How will the family react to their feelings for each other. And lastly, with Ammar’s case reopened with Burhan fighting Maheen’s case, the family divide will plunge deeper into dark territory.
Qarz e Jaan is turning out to be quite an intriguing watch. Drop us a comment to tell us what else you loved about the episode.

Buhan and Nastwa chemistry is so boring. it is last uninteresting thing in Qarz e jaan. he is like old school boy. bossing and lecturing around her as boss. then their scenes in mall was looking too forced. love at first sight and vanilla romance doesn’t attract me.plus Bisma and Asim second chance love troupe hooked me. their love story!😍 and Bisma widowhood and motherhood😭
And in Ammar case the way they didn’t showed all scenes. there is still curiosity and doubt what if Ammar is innocent. What if it is his friends doing 🤷🏻♀️ if writers create suspense or surprise. also it should be enemies to lovers not culprit but they deceived me in teasers by showing Ammar and Nashwa interesting fight scenes then Bambi eyes.
And Nashwa character is true example of women empowerment and strength.
Tazeen Hussein also had that beautiful love story in Yunhi. She’s a wonderful actress. As for Nashwa’s Daadi, she constantly has a mean expression on her face. She’s rather terrifying.
