The second song from ‘Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad’, Rab Ke Bandey, was released on YouTube and this one will definitely make you sentimental!
The first song of the film, ‘Loota Rey‘ was released just a few days back and the makers, without making us wait much longer, treated us to another song ‘Rab Ke Bandey’. It’s a short and sweet two-minute song, hummed by Asrar Shah and penned by Sabir Zafar. The music which has been composed by Shani Arshad, makes you emotional, evokes in you a sense of patriotism, and takes you on a journey of moral enlightenment and redemption. While ‘Loota Rey’ is a song that will make you dance and groove, ‘Rab Ke Bandey’ will make you sit back and ponder.
Beginning with the quote, “Achi baton ka asr sab par barabar nahi hota Sajda. Jab barish hoti hai tou fasal sirf wahein paida hoti hai jahan kisan ne mehnat ki ho…baki jagah par tou sirf jhariyan hi ughti hain“, the song immediately hooks you and catches your interest, setting the tone for a soft melody with powerful visuals.
Rab Ke Bandey features Fahad Mustafa who is portraying the role of a corrupt police officer and on his journey towards redemption, we see him returning the money to all those people from whom he took bribes. We also see Mahira Khan, who is playing the character of an activist, aiding him to achieve his goal. The lyrics stress the listeners to redeem themselves and return to the righteous path.
The song nods to the theme of corruption highlighted in the movie and adds to the audience’s anticipation of what they should expect from the film.
Fahad Mustafa and Mahira Khan starrer, ‘Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad’ is set to release this Eid-ul-Adha. The film is anticipated to be one of the biggest films this year with a big budget (though no numbers have been shared with the public yet!).
