Less drama and more humor with the wedding festivities – YES Please!
This week’s episodes of Shaurya and Anokhi ki Kahani was all fun and minimal drama with the wedding festivities. If you ask whether we loved it or not then we have to say that we are all in for such lighthearted entertainment; a great combination of romance, humour and some emotional heart-to-heart scenes.
As was inevitable from last week’s episodes, we saw Shaurya forming the ‘dream team’ with Shaan, Astha, ACP Ahir and Bubbly di to plan a secret wedding (about which everyone knows except the bride herself!). As the dream team gets to work planning the wedding of Shaurya and Anokhi-yes it just sounds so good hearing it, doesn’t it?– we see some adorable teamwork happen that made us all laugh. Like a light sea breeze, these episodes just made us feel good and happy. It was refreshing to see everyone putting in their best to bring together two people in love! My personal favourite moment from the wedding planning was Shaurya and Astha moments together.
The mother-son duo is making us fall in love with them more every week! The way Shaurya pleaded with his mother to come to his wedding made us realize the depth of pain he felt as a child and how content he is after having his mother back. We just wish that these moments never end!

Now coming to the SHAKHI wedding! Didn’t everything just look perfect and magical! We absolutely loved the excited dulha! Undoubtedly, Shaurya’s character is very well-written and acted by Karanvir. His expressions and the way he delivers his dialogues are enough to show how much he loves Anokhi-and more than that his respect for her! We all fell in love with him once again when he convinced Anokhi’s parents to forgive her and how he stressed her achievements. We all need a man who dotes on his wife like Shaurya and provides her with constant support!
The two wedding events covered in this week’s episodes were truly well executed! The dresses, the dance, the decoration and everything else was just perfect! Plus, Anokhi and Shaurya both looked stunning and complimented each other in all the ways! And of course, the icing on the cake, the supportive friends and family who made sure that everything ran smoothly. It made us wish to have people like those in our lives as well!

Ok But…
But amidst all the execution of this perfect wedding and festivities, dare I complain? Unfortunately, I have to. It’s just that the concept of a wedding happening without the bride knowing is a concept that is hard to swallow for me. My lack of knowledge about Hindu customs makes this more difficult for me to understand as I don’t know how they are doing all the rasams with Anokhi and she still hasn’t deciphered what is happening? Like where is the imaginary bride? Why is Anokhi always colour-coordinated with Shaurya, when it should be Shagun instead? Well, these things are a bit hard to ignore but then let’s accept that they have added a bit of fantasy to the real-world scenarios. Is this still believable? Most certainly not! But is this entertaining and a good escape from real-life problems? Sure!
We can all agree that sometimes we want an escape from reality and shows like Shaurya can be a great guilty pleasure! If you are asking whether it is mine or not, then it assuredly is! A little bit of fiction most certainly does not hurt anyone and we would love to see how the situation unfolds in front of Anokhi. Till then, here are some tweets for you to enjoy!
