As Zard Patton Ka Bunn reaches its conclusion, Sajal Aly has shared an instagram post that beautifully captures the essence of her journey through the drama and the powerful themes it portrayed.

We are in 2024, a time when conversations about women empowerment, societal issues, population control, girls’ education, and related topics have begun to take center stage. Our dramas mirror society; they show us what we, as a community, often fail to see. Zard Patton Ka Bunn was one such drama—filled with themes of love, empowerment, and crucial issues, particularly girls’ education, population control, and insights into the healthcare sector.
The director-writer duo; Saife Hasan and Mustafa Afridi brought this masterpiece to life, while Momina Duraid produced it in collaboration with the Kashf Foundation. Sajal Aly as Meenu and Hamza Sohail as Dr. Naufil became the on-screen pair we didn’t know we needed until they captured our hearts.
Last week, Zard Patton Ka Bunn came to an emotional end, sparking conversations on various critical topics that need to be heard and discussed.
Sajal Aly Took To Her Instagram To Pen A Heartfelt Note!
Sajal Aly, who portrayed Meenu, recently shared a heartfelt farewell post on Instagram, giving a special mention to Saife Hasan, Mustafa Afridi, Rehan Sheikh, Hamza Sohail, Ali Tahir, Kashf Foundation, and HUM Networks.
This is what she had to say!
Humble At Heart, Gratitude In Words!
She began by humbly sharing: “With Zard Patton ka bunn coming to an end, I feel deeply grateful to have been part of a project that dared to highlight the unspoken struggles and hopes of so many in our society. At the heart of this journey was Meenu’s story, a young woman’s fight for education, respect and a voice in a world that often silences them.”
Reflecting on her character, Meenu, Sajal described the young woman’s determination to pursue her dreams despite the societal barriers stacked against her. Meenu’s fight for education and respect resonated with viewers who saw their own stories reflected in her struggles. By portraying Meenu, Sajal Aly brought attention to the courage it takes for women to challenge norms, representing the silent strength that so many embody every day.
The Power Of “Supportive People Around YOU”
“But she couldn’t have done it alone. She found strength in the good people around her, who believed in her against all the norms, chose to uplift her to break barriers and fulfill her dreams in a world set against her. My hope is that this dream, this message, resonates and inspires us all to come together to create a world where everyone, regardless of gender, has the freedom and support to follow their dreams.”
In her post, Sajal emphasized the role of the supportive people in Meenu’s life—those who believed in her and encouraged her to break free from restrictions. Meenu found strength not just within herself but also from her allies, who uplifted her and enabled her to rise above the obstacles. This aspect of Meenu’s journey delivered a powerful message: when people come together to support each other, they can create real change!
The Magic Of Storytelling
“Projects like Zard Patton Ka Bunn remind us of the power that stories hold in initiating conversations about REAL issues, from women’s rights to social justice, from child labor to drug abuse. And I’m so proud to see our drama industry addressing these themes.”
Sajal Aly expressed pride in the drama industry’s courage to address such powerful themes, bringing attention to topics that are often, in fact, majorly overlooked or maybe ignored.
Special Thanks To The Entire ZPKB Team!
“A special thank you to the Kashf Foundation for their commitment to supporting such stories and to HUM TV for bringing ‘Kesar Kalan ki katha’ to life. To our director @saife_hasan , our writer Mustafa Afridi, @hamzasohail_96 @alitahir38 @rehansheikh01 and the entire cast and crew who poured their heart and soul into this project.”
