Are you craving for a binge-worthy Asian feast to savor this weekend? Craving the comforting flavours of Chinese, Korean, or other Asian cuisines? Imagine enjoying spicy dumplings, tantalisingly sweet and spicy Korean chicken, flavourful rice, and a crackling crispy appetizer. If this sounds enticing enough for your weekend plans, we have the perfect recommendation for you!
Having personally ordered Wok to Bowl twice, we can totally vouch for its excellence. On both occasions, when we found ourselves with the challenge of choosing what to order for a sizeable group, searching for the best Asian eateries in Karachi that offer a delectable experience without breaking the bank – Wok To Bowl emerged as a fresh choice during our first visit and its quality and taste compelled us to return for a second time. It quickly became our preferred choice for satisfying our Asian food cravings.
Wok To Bowl pride themselves on offering a storm of flavours. Just an FYI though, It is an order only eatery. So trust us and give it a try and in the meantime if you want a more detailed review of what we had, head on below: So we ordered a couple things from the menu; Garlic and Fried rice, Korean Chicken, Manchurian, Dumplings and Wontons!
We ordered multiple cricket deals through Food panda which included any regular chicken bowl of your choice, complimentary rice, an appetiser and a drink – costing Rs. 1104 after a discount. A pretty good deal if you ask us.
Garlic Fried VS Egg Fried Rice

Everybody in the team had a consensus on this. The egg fried rice which most of us were most excited about turned out to be not so exciting. Yes, it had all the vegetables, scrambled eggs but the rice were a bit dry, the unique egg fried rice flavor was missing, with the aroma missing!
On the other hand, the garlic rice were a hit. They were flavorful, with a delicious aroma of garlic and fresh spring onions. It tasted great with all the main chicken bowls. The rice was softer and we liked that.
A Kick Of Korean Chicken

While some of us ramen and K-food lovers expected the Korean chicken to be more on the spicy side, it really wasn’t all that spicy. We expected it would be the Korean ramen level spicy but not to say it was bad. It was just a hit of sweet and spicy, the right kind of balance. Also it was everybody’s most favorite item. Many even said they would gladly eat it on its own without the rice too, owing to the fact it included bite sized pieces of the chicken. We would have liked a more generous sprinkle of the sesame seeds though.
Mainstream Manchurian

It is often, Asian restaurants make the Manchurian overly salty or sour but Wok To Bowl’s Manchurian was neither. It was good, not too bad but not a mind blowing special item off the menu either. It was a mild Manchurian flavour with vegetables and boneless chicken pieces. It was your regular Manchurian. While the taste and quality were satisfactory, we would prefer exploring other exciting options in the future.
Crispy Or Not So Crispy Wontons

At first glance, it was a different Wonton shape than usual. Plus everybody knows Wontons are best when crispy but maybe due to the delivery time, the Wontons reached us looking not so crispy which was a tad disappointing. But, the filling was ample, it was not bland at all, it was just the right amount of flavour and spice. The sweet Chili sauce they had sent along was the perfect partner for the Wontons! Everybody was constantly reaching out for the sauce, it was that good.
Saucy Dumplings

It is the worst thing to happen if the Dumplings are not saucy enough because isn’t that the entire point of having dumplings? For them to be drowning in yummy sauce? No? At least thats what we think…
Wok To Bowl’s dumplings were SAUCY! Though very balanced in flavour and spice. Though the sauce had chunks of peanuts in them so if you dont like peanuts or dont like them too chunky, watch out. The filling for the dumplings was also infused with enough flavour to thankfully not taste bland.
Our Verdict
So if ever you want to satisfy your asian food cravings, want to order the simplest but the most flavourful things for a large group of people – Wok To Bowl is your best bet. We liked the flavours, the serving size which was a good amount, the quality and taste. The fact that we ordered it a second time and it tasted just as good is obvious of our verdict; we approve of Wok To Bowl!
All in all, it was a good experience! You are can order directly from their website, give them a call or order on Food Panda.
