The first episode of the much awaited drama, Sinf e Aahan aired on ARY Digital on Saturday night and we must say, it just made our weekend better! It wasn’t only the stellar cast, writing, production and direction that caught the viewer’s attention but also the dialogues that were delivered ever so eloquently by the actors. From Sajal’s remarks about the rishta culture to Yumna’s take on how women are equally capable as men, Sinf e Aahan quotes have already become the talk of the town.
But what surprisingly ignited a debate on twitter was a comment made by a suitor’s mother to Sajal as to why didn’t she opt to study abroad or from GIKI, instead of NUST. This diaolgue did not go unnoticed by an ever alert fanbase, (who never misses anything) and sparked a debate on twitter, reviving the NUST Vs. GIKI rivalry.

The debate sure did provide us with the much needed humor to relieve the day’s tension, however, when we look at the broader picture we value all these institutions equally – their invaluable contribution in training our youth to become leaders of the future must always be lauded. Lastly, it goes without saying that Umera Ahmed, through an astute choice of dialogues has yet again, sensitively questioned the rishta culture.
