He feels betrayed by Meerab for facilitating Mariam, no matter what the reason. He trusted her beyond everything…
He feels like a fool for doing so much for Meerab and for believing in her, when she has no value for his emotions…
He feels immense pain for losing every hope of ever getting back again happily with Meerab…
He not only lost Meerab, but he also lost his self-respect before Malik Zubair, put himself in a position where everyone is questioning his judgement and his understanding of people around him.
As a man and as a brother, he is struggling with the defeat he just faced and that too, with the involvement of his dear ones.
One also questions if Murtasim is punishing Meerab or himself for trusting her? Is he teaching himself a lesson by staying away from her, by distancing her from him?
What Could have Been Better
Why is no one asking Haya as to why she didn’t tell anyone the minute it was discovered that Mariam is not at home?
While we appreciate Murtasim for not being harsh with Mariam, why did he leave Meerab outside the gate, on the street? He should have left her inside the gate or waited for her to go inside the compound at least. Or even, why he couldn’t wait for it to be morning before he dropped her home?
Ma Begum – itnee sukht… we understand you are angry at Mariam, but she has just undergone a trauma herself. Plus, she has to live with this guilt for her entire life, and nothing can be a greater punishment than this memory and guilt.
Meerab has been abandoned once again by her father? She now lives with the guilt of what she has done. She should have been given a chance to maybe explain what really happened…Do you agree?
What Happens Next?
