The multi-talented actress Sajal Aly, whom we last saw in Ishq e Laa, has paired up with renowned singer Shehzad Roy for a project that we have our eyes on! Tum Ho To is all set to release on the 4th of June and will highlight the significance of women working (in spite of being financially stable).
The project is directed by the actor-director Faisal Qureshi. Faisal has time and again proven his mantle in areas of acting, direction as well as production. He has produced the sitcom Teen Bata Teen which was aired on PTV Home in the 1990s. He then also directed various comedy dramas and sitcoms including Ulta Seedha and Uski Suno Awaz which were aired on GEO Entertainment.
Sajal Aly shared a picture of herself with Faisal Qureshi and fans could not help but gush over them, especially after seeing two powerhouses in one frame!
Sajal Aly and Shehzad Roy have been teasing their fans on Instagram by posting pictures together with the hashtag #TumHoTo. Fans could not help but praise both of them and comment on the charisma and chemistry they were able to create with only a single picture (talk about a picture worth a thousand words!).
Yesterday the actor and the singer shared a joint post of a 30 seconds video call on Instagram.
In the video, Shehzad asks Sajal where she is to which she replies she is currently in Lahore. Shehzad asks her the reason to which Sajal says she is there for work. He then asks her, “Your life is set, why do you need to work?” When Sajal asks him what he meant by that, the singer answers that people work because they need money to which Sajal responds, “No, there can be many other reasons to go to work.” Shehzad Roy asks for an example and she says, “You can see for yourself on June 4.”
In the end we heard Faisal’s voice who yelled “Cut! Perfect.” Watch the video here:

Another first – Tum Ho To just happens to be Shehzad Roy’s leap of faith from music to acting and fans can’t wait to see the big reveal. That it is alongside Sajal Aly is the cherry on top. However, keep on hoping as we’re not sure about the nature of the project yet, such is the mystery (despite the teasers) online.
The project looks promising so far and one which has a social message. Though it still remains to be seen whether this is an advert, music video, or a short film. fans are thrilled to see what the trio has in store for us!
We have been waiting for a project solely devoted to working women, it took its time coming, and we hope this one will hit the right spot!
