Tumharey Husn Kay Naam – To save Salma’s marriage, Sikander decides to marry Muneeza, as that is the only way he can stop her from destroying Salma’s marriage. What really happened with him and why he didn’t show up to meet Salma’s father is still a mystery, sadly and annoyingly.
What Sikander Doesn’t Know
But Sikander doesn’t know that instead of doing Salma a favor, he is actually making it more difficult for her as now Atif’s attention will be completely on Salma. With Muneeza in the scene he might have been distracted or maybe his marriage to Muneeza would have convinced Salma’s parents to take some action and save Salma from this torture.
The Disappointing Attitude of Salma’s Parents
Salma’s parents are such a disappointment as they refuse to help their daughter. The mother especially says “to make a marriage work, you have to give many sacrifices” – A thought that was common among parents sometime back. Hopefully this has changed now, considerably.
What Does Muneeza Want?
What does Muneeza really want? Just to get married to a man who loved Salma, to satisfy her own ego and her desire to take revenge. She clearly cannot believe that Sikander would be interested in her after witnessing his love for Salma.
Atif’s mother in Tumharey Husn Kay Naam is another disappointment. Despite being a woman, she actually is making Salma’s life difficult. Mothers like her are a reason for monstrous sons.
