1. The Royals – Hitting Netflix on May 9th
Get ready for a royally chaotic ride with The Royals, a coming-of-age rom-com set in the fictional town of Morpur, where a royal family lives with all the titles but none of the riches. When Bhumi Pednekar’s character—a confident, no-nonsense “aam kumari”—enters their world, her mission becomes clear: fix the royal mess. But reviving a forgotten palace is one thing—handling the spoiled, polished prince (played by Ishaan Khatter) is another. As ego clashes and sparks fly, the series unfolds into a whimsical and heartfelt tale of love, pride, and second chances. Kind of giving Khoobsurat vibes?
Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, The Royals boasts an all-star ensemble. Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Chunky Panday, Vihaan Samat, Kavya Trehan, Sumukhi Suresh, Udit Arora, Lisa Mishra, and Luke Kenny. 2. Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins
High-stakes thrills meet vintage Bollywood swagger in Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins, starring Saif Ali Khan as Rehan Roy—a suave conman out to steal the legendary African Red Sun jewel. Hot on his trail is Jaideep Ahlawat’s mafia boss Rajan Aulakh (Ahlawat has been making waves with his moves!), while Kunal Kapoor plays detective Vikram Patel, determined to crack the case. 3. You Season 5
Joe Goldberg is back—and this time, the mask of anonymity is off. In the final season of Netflix’s psychological thriller You, Joe (played by Penn Badgley) returns to where it all began: New York. Now married to Kate Lockwood (Charlotte Ritchie), who’s the CEO of the Lockwood Corporation, Joe is basking in the glow of his Prince Charming image. But as always, dark secrets and unresolved desires start creeping in, threatening the carefully constructed life he’s built.
Directed by Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo—who also serve as showrunners—Season 5 is set three years after the events of London. New characters enter Joe’s orbit, including Madeline Brewer as Bronte, a woman who forces Joe to reckon with who he really is. This swan song season is a full-circle moment, blending the old Joe with the new, as the final chapter promises redemption, reckoning, and the thrill fans have come to expect. This, I, myself might skip because the show overall gives me so much stress and nausea, that I can’t handle!
4. Abir Gulaal
A soulful, romantic drama set against a backdrop of emotional wounds and quiet healing, Abir Gulaal stars Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor as two strangers who meet by chance and slowly build an unexpected bond. Their journey begins in silence, grows in trust, and transforms into love—a kind neither of them thought possible. This film leans into vulnerability and subtle storytelling, steering away from grandeur and focusing on the raw human (cinematic) experience.
Though further details are still under wraps, the pairing of Fawad and Vaani already has fans buzzing. With its soft aesthetics, meaningful silences, and quiet chemistry, Abir Gulaal looks poised to become one of the most emotionally resonant love stories of the year. We await May 9th!
5. The Accountant 2
I could say, it’s return of the Batman but no. This time Ben Affleck returns as Christian Wolff in The Accountant 2, a sequel that ups the emotional theme without losing its gritty, cerebral edge. Still balancing his unique skills with a need to live a normal life, Christian is dragged back into the field when the death of FinCEN Director Raymond King (J.K. Simmons) reveals a deeper conspiracy. This time, his estranged brother Braxton (Jon Bernthal) joins him, leading to both action and unexpected brotherly bonding.
Directed again by Gavin O’Connor and written by Bill Dubuque (of Ozark fame), the film mixes mystery, action, and heart. With Cynthia Addai-Robinson reprising her role as agent Medina and Daniella Pineda joining the cast as Anaïs—the woman who may hold the key to everything—this sequel dials up the stakes and brings fresh perspective to Christian’s world. It’s more than a follow-up—it’s a whole new chapter on April 25th in theaters.
6. Mission Impossible 8
Tom Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, the eighth and potentially final installment of the franchise, directed by Christopher McQuarrie. The film picks up directly after Dead Reckoning Part One, with Ethan and his team racing to locate a Russian submarine, the Sevastopol, which holds the key to destroying the rogue AI known as the Entity. The returning cast includes Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, and Esai Morales, with new additions like Hannah Waddingham and Nick Offerman joining the action.

7. Havoc
Tom Hardy is back doing what he does best—throwing punches, breaking bones, and diving headfirst into chaos. Havoc drops us into the heart of a gritty underworld where he plays Walker, a rough-around-the-edges detective trying to survive a criminal mess after a drug deal blows up. As if that’s not enough, he’s got a crime syndicate, dirty cops, and a shady politician all gunning for him. His only way out? Rescue said politician’s estranged son and untangle a web of secrets that could tear the city apart. It’s intense, it’s dark, and it’s packed with the kind of action only Gareth Evans can deliver. Oh and Tom with the heavy British accent and somewhat of a cool gangster vibe, might just be the perfect pick.
Joining Hardy is a seriously stacked cast—Forest Whitaker, Timothy Olyphant, Jessie Mei Li, Luis Guzmán, and more familiar faces bring the heat. With Evans directing and Hardy also producing, Havoc promises all the gritty, street-level madness you could want. Mark your calendars—April 25 is going to be wild.
