Teamwork outdid themselves once again. Harshdeep Kaur & Javed Ali in Singapore were a treat for audiences!
What a show – Harshdeep mesmerised like no other!
The area outside the concert hall was buzzing with excitement and that vibe was there till the concert ended.
The Esplanade concert hall – the venue of the evnt, was packed! The show was sold out and added another feather in Teamwork’s hat.

The show opened with the mesmerising Harshdeep Kaur who brought such soul to the stage that the audience was instantly captivated by her voice. She began her performance with “Lambi Judai” and that set the tone for “Sounds of Sufi” for the evening!
The meticulously chosen order of songs was what made the audience wanting more as she moved on to songs like “Aaj din Charhiya”, “Heer” and “Baba Mein Teri Malka” which had all the dads and daughters in the hall resonating to its lyrics. When she changed the tone to “Kabira” the audience turned their flashlights on and were swaying to the sounds of Sufi while “Jugni” performed another form of magic as the vibe across the hall changed completely.

While Harshdeep was onstage, she swept us into a lyrical journey, as we swayed from song to song, feeling each number straight from the heart. The way she engaged the audience was exciting and fun while maintaining the decorum required for a show of this genre.
Javed Ali was no less
He opened the proceedings with “Man Kunto Maula” that had everyone in a head-swaying, somber state. From “Aafreen Aafreen” to “Arziyan” to “Maula Merah”, he kept shifting the tone, and the audience appreciated his songs and performance more and more as the energy grew contagious.

Javed Ali’s songs where such a brilliant mix of Sufi and
Bollywood that not a single number felt
out of place. As he sang songs from the pure Sufi genre, he created a soulful mood while the
more Bollywood numbers rendered a different
impact. What blew the audience away was that he managed to sustain
the rhythm despite the changing
tone in musical genres.
Just before the finale, one of the contest winners of “Sounds of Sufi” – Gayathri Joshi, joined Javed Ali on stage and what a find!
She was a star! Such a natural and very talented.
