How Iqtidar Came To Anmol—And What Made Her Say Yes!
When the script came, the name of the drama was not Iqtidar, it was my character’s name.

Anmol shared that when Iqtidar first came her way, the script actually had her character’s name as the title! And guess what? It wasn’t even “Mehru” but “Qurat-ul-Ain”! Curious and a bit intrigued, she began reading through it, quickly realizing that this role was unlike anything she’d done before. Coming off her recent drama Shiddat, which featured an entirely different character, she felt excited by the unique layers and complexities in this role. The character of Qurat-ul-Ain was courageous, expressive, and had so much depth that she couldn’t resist the challenge. Anmol found herself so engaged that she preferred reading this script over another one she had on hand.
Revenge – What Do Ali And Anmol Think About It?
I don’t believe in revenge.

Anmol shared that she doesn’t believe in revenge. She feels that if someone wrongs you and you do the same in return, there’s no difference between you and that person. She believes that it’s a waste of time and energy to focus on punishing someone for their wrongdoings. According to Anmol, she now views the situation differently than before—rather than seeking revenge, she prefers to move on and not let it affect her peace of mind.
Jab mere sath koi kuch ghalat karta hai, jab tak main revenge leney ka plan banata hun, uske sath khud hi kuch ghalat ho jata hai, mujhe kuch karna hi nahi parta.
Ali Raza
Ali, in contrast, shared a more strategic approach to revenge. While he doesn’t act impulsively, he mentioned that when someone wrongs him, he often plans to take revenge. However, whenever he attempts to take matters into his own hands, something always happens to the other person naturally, which prevents him from having to do anything. Ali emphasized that while he used to think about getting back at people, now he understands that it’s better to let go and not waste time or energy on those who wrong you. He believes that their actions are their problem, not his.
How Are Fans Reacting On Iqtidar?
Surprisingly, it’s very good but we were not expecting that there would be such a good reaction because it was Ali’s and my first time together.

Anmol shared that the overwhelming fan reactions have been quite a surprise for both her and Ali. She revealed that they were not expecting such positive feedback, especially since it was their first time working together. Anmol mentioned that they had never met before the shoot, so when they arrived on set, it was a bit awkward at first. Their initial meeting was just a quick “hi, hello” before diving straight into a challenging scene, where Ali had to lift her up. Despite her initial hesitation, the scene went smoothly, and she appreciated Ali’s supportive energy, which made her feel comfortable on set.
On the other hand, Ali praised Anmol for being a fantastic co-star. He admitted that he usually feels shy around female co-stars, especially when it comes to scenes that require close interaction. However, with Anmol, he felt at ease right from the start. He highlighted how their positive energy and good vibes helped them connect, making their on-screen chemistry natural and effortless. Ali appreciated Anmol’s professionalism, which made the experience enjoyable, allowing them to focus on delivering their scenes convincingly.
