Yumna Zaidi dazzles her fans after being seen in a new avatar in the upcoming drama serial, ‘Bakhtawar‘.
The versatile actress, Yumna Zaidi has once again proven why she is one of the most celebrated actresses in Pakistan. After seeing her last in the drama serial, ‘Sinf-e-Aahan‘ as Shaista Khanzada where she played the role of a lively girl with unparalleled energy, fans will be now seeing her in HUM TV’s new drama, ‘Bakhtawar’.
Produced by Momina Duraid, the serial is penned by Nadia Akhtar who has also written ‘Kahi Unkahi’, ‘Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se’ which also starred Yumna Zaidi. It is directed by Shahid Shafaat who has previously directed many dramas, some of which also highlighted social issues including ‘Khuda Mera Bhi Hai’ and ‘Surkh Chandni’. Alongside Yumna Zaidi, we will also be seeing Zaviyar Nauman Ejaz, Saqib Sameer, Mizna Waqas, Noreen Gulwani, Shamoon Abbasi, Sunil Shankar, Huma Nawab, Adnan Shah, and others.
As of now, HUM TV has released two promos of the drama, adding to the audience’s anticipation.
Promo 1: Starring Yumna Zaidi In Multiple Roles
In the first teaser, the audience is treated to two different looks of Yumna Zaidi! The trailer begins with one of Yumna’s characters running towards a door wearing a veil. Cut to, we see Yumna’s second character answering the door in a deep voice, wearing shalwar kameez, and donning short hair.
We also spot Yumna’s character confronting some men and then her voiceover narrating, “Har mard aurat ki aik hi majboori ka faida uthanay ki koshish karta hai. Kisi tarha us par kechar uchalay takay aurat kisi na kisi tarah us ke samnay jhuk jai.”
We notice fear & restlessness in Yumna’s eyes, from which we can depict that she is running away from something. Her voiceover reveals that she harbours resentment towards men and feels that the only way to fight the world is to be strong.
Are the two characters linked through her past and present or is one character the other’s alter ego? Are they two people with similar faces but different personalities? Well, there is a lot yet to be revealed!

Promo 2: Unfolding The Narrative
The second teaser introduces us to other characters in the drama. The teaser begins with Shamoon Abbasi talking about a witness, indicating that the story is probably going to highlight a crime that has taken place. Later, we see Zaviyar Nauman Ejaz aka Dilawar making an appearance. In his conversation with Shamoon’s character, we hear Shamoon talking to him about a person in Zaviyar’s life who is mysterious and that it is Zaviyar’s responsibility to solve that mystery.
We are guessing this conversation is about Yumna’s character. Are we right or wrong? Are Zaviyar and Yumna’s characters involved romantically? Is the drama going to be a murder mystery? Well, only time can tell!
The plot of the drama still remains in wraps, but HUM TV’s description on YouTube about the drama reads: “The journey of a young headstrong girl trying to escape her troubled home, difficulties, and pain and create a better tomorrow for herself.”

Though, the drama still does not have a release date, fans are over the moon to see Yumna Zaidi in a role like never before!
