Zarrar has captured the hearts of many on Instagram with his versatile skills and charming presence. Recently, he has made waves with his impressive roles in notable projects like College Gate, the Eid telefilm Janay Koun Thi Haseena, and Jafaa. Currently, he’s drawing attention with his performance as Umer in the drama Meem Se Mohabbat. Alongside him, Khadija Saleem is also making a significant impact in the same drama, portraying the character of Mahi. Their on-screen chemistry is engaging audiences, they are both garnering well-deserved attention in the industry.

Why Khadija & Zarrar Said Yes To Meem Se Mohabbat?
Zarrar Khan was all in for Meem Se Mohabbat because it felt like the best of both worlds. At first, he didn’t realize how big this project was; he was focused on the character and story that had been pitched to him. After Jafaa, he noticed that fans were saying he never gets the girl in any drama, which made him excited to take on a role that finally involved a successful relationship. He was really looking forward to playing a character with a married life, so those factors made it a no-brainer for him.
Khadija Saleem was also intrigued when she got a call about the script. The team mentioned that Dananeer was playing the lead and that Khadija would be Dananeer’s sister, which meant she would have her own storyline with marriage and family. When she found out it was a Farhat Ishtiaq script and noted Dananeer’s previous success, she was all in. Both Zarrar and Khadija shared how it was a dream come true for them, making it all feel surreal yet super exciting.
Khadija Saleem’s Thoughts On Dananeer
Khadija Saleem shared her experience of meeting Dananeer for the first time, noting that while they had a brief introduction with a hug and some shared scenes, they gradually built a strong bond over time. She described Dananeer as a sweet and warm person, emphasizing the great chemistry they share on screen as sisters. The connection between her and Dananeer feels completely natural, making their on-screen moments enjoyable to watch.
Khadija acknowledged that Dananeer has more acting margin, which allows her to showcase a wide range of emotions. Despite this, she brings a heartfelt approach to their sisterly scenes, making Khadija feel as if she has a genuine sisterly bond with her. As they wrapped up filming, Khadija felt emotional, expressing her reluctance for the project to end. Overall, she highlighted how their bond has developed organically throughout the shooting process, leading to a truly authentic representation of sisterhood on screen.
The Awkward Flirting Scene In Meem Se Mohabbat
In their first scene together, Khadija shared that both she and Zarrar, faced a hilarious challenge as one attempted to flirt in the kitchen, given that their characters were now engaged. They both struggled with the flirting aspect, with Zarrar being sweet but not quite hitting the mark on the playful side, which Khadija appreciated for its respectful tone. Khadija admitted to being just as bad at flirting, often replying with a simple “yes bro” when someone shows interest.
They discussed how the character wasn’t meant to be overly flirtatious, which led to some funny moments during filming. The expressions were often too exaggerated, resulting in several reshoots to capture the right chemistry. Despite the initial awkwardness, they felt that when they finally saw the scene on screen, everything came together beautifully, making their connection feel genuine and relatable.
