Mitti De Baway is going to drop on our screens soon, and if the teasers are anything to go by, Green Entertainment is bringing us a drama that looks every bit as grand, intense and layered as we hoped it would be. 5 Questions We Have After Watching The Mitti De Baway Teasers Written by Faiza Iftikhar, directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain, produced by Tehreem Chaudhary and presented by Multiverse Entertainment, the drama brings together a massively impressive ensemble cast, with Mahira Khan and Wahaj Ali leading the story and sharing the screen as a pair for the very first time. With its visual allure, larger than life setup, and dramatic snapshots of its characters, Mitti De Baway is already making us feel curious about the drama. The teasers have offered snippets from the story without giving away the whole thing, featuring characters who appear to be from different walks of life, and a relationship which looks like it has many secrets to unravel. Romance, power, spirituality, crime, family dynamics, and lots of mysteries are what have been packed in the teasers so far. And while Green Entertainment has given us enough to understand the scale of the project, it has also left us with quite a few questions. So, having watched all the teasers that have been released until now, here are 5 questions that have cropped up in our mind regarding Mitti De Baway. What Exactly Happened Between Billo And Baala? This could very well be the greatest mystery surrounding Billo and Baala's past. In the teasers we see two individuals who were evidently in love, only for life to turn around and take an entirely different course where Baala ends up in prison and Billo becomes a spiritual leader. However, what really transpired in between? Were there any betrayals in the story and if so, which of the two betrayed the other? Could Baala's prison sentence be what caused the rift, or were there events that took place before Baala went into prison that could cause this relationship to fail? The way Billo reacts to Baala in the present day, particularly her warning for him to stay away, suggests that there is still some unresolved rift between the two. Perhaps one of them made a choice that the other could never forgive, or maybe circumstances simply forced them apart. Why Did Baala Go To Prison? While the audience knows that Baala ended up in prison, the real reason why this happened to him is the most important secret connected to this drama. The thing that makes this situation very interesting is the fact that there is a great difference between young Baala seen in the flashbacks and the man that came back from the prison. The second teaser shows him as a powerful thug with an army of loyal people around him with guns, violence and talks about settling scores playing the main role in his life. Maybe the hard life he had forced him to become a criminal or maybe the incident that led to him being prisoned was the real turning point in his life. Either way, the drama seems to be deliberately keeping the most important part of Baala's transformation hidden for now, and discovering what happened could explain why the innocent young man from Billo's memories has become someone she now feels the need to fear. How Did Billo Become A Spiritual Leader? Billo's transformation may be just as interesting as Baala's. The teasers show her moving from a young woman deeply in love with Baala to a spiritual leader with her own following and influence. Her affluent background may also be connected to the position she eventually holds, although the exact circumstances of her transformation have not yet been revealed. Was becoming a spiritual leader something Billo was destined for because of her family, or did something happen in her life that pushed her towards this path? What we do know is that the woman we see in the present is very different from the young Billo in the flashbacks, and that makes us wonder whether heartbreak, family expectations or another major event shaped the person she eventually became. Who Are The Women Connected To Baala? The third teaser has made Baala's personal life considerably more complicated. Alongside Billo, we see women played by Amar Khan and Hina Afridi, with the teaser suggesting that both have their own connections to Baala. One of the most revealing exchanges comes when Amar Khan's character questions “Us mein aisa kya hai jo mujh mein nahi?”, followed by the suggestion “Tumhare hisse mein sirf tan mila hai, dil toh ab bhi usi (Billo) ka hai.”. This immediately raises questions about what happened in Baala's life after he and Billo went their separate ways. Did they both move on and get married to other people? And if so, how did Billo continue to hold such an important place in Baala’s heart? Can Billo And Baala Really Put Their Past Behind Them? And finally, can these two actually leave their past where it belongs? Everything we have seen so far suggests that the answer may not be that simple. Billo clearly does not want Baala to come back into her life, while Baala appears to believe that their story still belongs to the two of them. The interesting part is that they are no longer the same people who fell in love years ago. Billo has built an entirely new identity and following, while Baala has returned from prison as a man surrounded by danger and things from his past that are still unresolved. Will they finally confront what tore them apart, or will everything that happened in between make it impossible for them to go back to what they once had? With so many questions still hanging in the air, Mitti De Baway has certainly succeeded in making its audience curious without revealing too much.
