As Leader comes to an end, we were left somewhat unsatisfied and disappointed with the ending, for a story that had so much potential. Here are our thoughts.
Bara dukh diya HUM TV, aapkay Leader ney.
Such a waste of time for the audience who invested so many hours in this drama. We are still recovering from the trauma of the final episode. The script killed everyone and saved Mansoor for 10 minutes, just to kill him in the last minute. So there is torture, and then there is ‘maha’ torture, as they say in Hindi.
Instead of giving hope that youth can change the future of the country and be politically and socially responsible, it asked students to completely stay away from politics. That is not the solution—the solution is to create responsibility and accountability.
The drama gave no hope, no direction. Why should an audience be subjected to a story which has no purpose at all, which hits you hard with harsh realities and then makes you completely lose hope in the system or in life?
We still wonder why, oh why, HUM TV, you put us through this.
