Dar-e-Nijaat had our attention in the initial episodes and now it has grown on us. As the drama continues to explore the Abu Bakar, Zaryab and Zamil trajectories, here are a few things we feel the have ticked the right boxed. Read on.

1. Showing our everyday religious practices in a responsible way. Like Abu Bakar reciting an ayat over water before giving it to Zaryab—such small, sincere moments of faith are woven naturally into daily life.
2. Showing how kindness comes full circle. Zaryab’s dadi, Kishwar, once helped Khushbakht by keeping her secret, and now Khushbakht is simply doing the same, passing on the kindness. What a lovely, uplifting message.
3. Zaryab isn’t looking for a savior, and Abu Bakar isn’t playing one. Zaryab is marrying him to prove to Zamil that Abu Bakar—someone Zamil deemed too pious to marry her—will, in fact, marry her.
4. The drama isn’t portraying Abu Bakar as Prince Charming who saves Zaryab; it’s redefining what girls should value in a partner. It shows what respect really looks like. Zaryab once thought what she had with Zamil was lasting, true love; now, with Abu Bakar, she will rediscover what love and respect truly feel like. It prompts viewers to rethink what they currently have and evaluate how much self-respect and how many values they are compromising.
5. The beautiful bond between Khushbakht and Abu Bakar. The way he sees her pain, doesn’t ask questions, and gently tells her to keep her secret until she is ready to share is a heart-melting moment. He sensed her pain and simply respected it.
This week, these 5 reasons have topped it off for us. What about you?
