Numerous causes await our attention, and during this Ramzan, here are a few lesser-known organizations where your donations can make a significant impact…
The world we live in today, especially our country, is heavily unequal, unfair, and harsh. Despite healthcare, food/water, housing, and education being basic human rights, capitalism and unfair distribution have turned them into privileges. We don’t need just Ramadan to remind us of this reality; it’s a continuous reminder of the countless beautiful souls deserving more. The beauty of this month lies in its ability to refocus our attention on what truly matters, urging us to aid our brothers and sisters around us and reflect on the society we’ve helped shape.
As we all seek to embody the generous spirit of this sacred month, here are some noble causes you can support, shedding light on and contributing to their journey towards greater good. While donating to large foundations is important and should continue, there are also numerous smaller, hidden, and needy foundations deserving of attention.
1. Bioniks
The vision and goal of Bioniks is to empower individuals with disabilities by providing them with cutting-edge prosthetic limbs, thereby fostering inclusivity and enhancing their quality of life. Bioniks is a social enterprise striving to facilitate humanity in every field of life. It is a symbol of hope for the individuals with disabilities – giving them a helping hand in the form of prosthetics. Artificial Limbs or Prosthetic limbs produced by us are the most advanced available in Pakistan.
2. Mama Baby Fund
The goal is to ensure fair access to maternal and neonatal healthcare in Pakistan by providing safe, suitable, and respectful services, while addressing financial and structural barriers throughout the maternity, delivery, and postpartum journey. The fund is dedicated to improving the lives of those unable to afford prenatal and postnatal care. It highlights numerous cases in Pakistan where women lose their lives due to financial constraints and lack of access to basic healthcare. Pakistan’s maternal, newborn, and infant mortality rates remain among the highest globally, largely due to preventable factors related to financial constraints and the quality of care. The MBF’s initiatives aim to reduce these statistics by offering financial support and other resources to women and their newborns.
3. LRBT
LRBT is committed to creating a better Pakistan by preventing the suffering caused by blindness and other eye ailments. To this end it provides state of the art comprehensive free eye-care in keeping with its tradition of excellence, efficiency and compassion for all.

4. Team Taleem
Team Taleem is a program by TeeSquare which aims at making interactive & independent digital learning accessible to all. It provides early education ranging from KG to class 2 over the course of 36 weeks. A gamified digital application is pre-installed on a tablet through which students can learn via guided tutorials, videos, and interactive workbooks of Urdu, English, and Maths.
In a country like Pakistan where the literacy rate is low, Team Taleem is nothing less than a ray of hope. There are several contributing factors that push the literacy rate down, be it inaccessibility, lack of awareness, financial constraints, etc, and very few solutions to target these problems. Thus, this program by TeeSquare is an exception. It is making learning both inclusive and affordable for out-of-school children and adults. TeeSquare essentially works with community schools and sponsors that buy their subscription i.e their learning kits and distribute them among their students and learners.
5. Smile Again
Depilex Smileagain Foundation is committed to provide the acid survivors not only with medical care and assistance but also an adequate chance to become productive, self-reliant members of the society that has ostracized them. The say their vision “extends beyond the immediate.”
