1. Dil Manay Na – Adoption Dilemmas
Madiha Imam essays Hania’s character – totally in love, totally unaware what the future holds for her, Hania receives a cold attitude from her father and younger sister. Little does she know that her mother, Dr. Shabana, essayed lovingly by Sania Saeed, had adopted her at a very young age. The truth will be revealed soon, and how Hania deals with the knowledge will set the backdrop for a story many families experience but often fail to address, or resolve.
Casting here is key and Madiha, Sania Saeed, Shahood Alvi as Hania’s dad, as well as Noreen Gulwani and Aina Asif (sisters to Hania) deliver strong performances. Hania shares a deep bond with her mother Dr. Shabana, (Sania Saeed is lighting up the screen with her presence btw). Add to that, Azfar Rehman aka Hamza, Hania’s cousin and though the two want to be together, this might not be on the cards for them. Then there’s Mugheez, Furqan Qureshi’s character, neighbour to Hania’s family, who also has his eyes on Hania.
Will Hamza still want to marry Hania when he learns the truth? How will Hania and the rest of her family react to the news? This one’s a different watch and lots waiting to happen here as the story is balanced on the edge so far, about to take off in multiple directions!
Dil Manay Na by Green Entertainment is presented by BJ Production and written by Seema Munaf. It is directed by Amin Iqbal. The cast features Sania Saeed, Shahood Alvi, Zainab Qayooom (ZQ), Fazila Qazi, Syeda Madiha Imam, Azfer Rehman, Furqan Qureshi, Aina Asif, Noreen Gulwani, Syed Adnan Jaffer, Yasir Alam, Huma Tahir, Urooj Kazmi, Maham, and Abdul Rehman Kashan.
2. Let’s Try Muhabbat – The Love Story Waiting To Happen
Why would you not want to give this light-hearted yet serious drama a watch, when the cast features Mawra Hocane and Danyal Zafar? While Mawra in a refreshing new role as Fiza, ticks all the right boxes for young girl with green flags, Danyal essays Zohan with a youthful, trusting personality, totally in love and totally clueless how to seal the deal!
Of course, the zaalim samaaj is about to step in and throw the couple a few curved balls. But worry not, as Fiza seems to be the girl with a plan! But can she pull it off? Also starring, Mirza Gohar Rasheed who is taking on the role of one whose love story stayed unfulfilled – nakaam aashiq for sure, and he’s fully invested in the role! This one might be your breezy evening watch with a bit of melody thrown in – after all, we do have Danyal onboard!

3. Pas-e-Deewar – Sweetly Intense With Dark Clouds Looming Overhead
When Iftikhar and Ujala meet, there are no walls between them. The young married couple seemed to have a happily ever after story and at first look, one wonders where’s the trouble in la la land. But then, reality strikes, and bites, as financial losses, dark intentions and poverty rear its ugly head. Ujala and Iftikhar, essayed by Noor Zafar Khan and Arsalan Naseer respectively, have no clue that they harbour unseen enemies.
As their quest for a better future takes shape, the couple might be fighting more than meets the eye. Dark forces are working behind the scenes, unknown to them both and while we love the onscreen chemistry between these two, the story line has managed to give us a feel of the imminent dangers these two face in the very near future.
Both Noor and Arsalan have slipped into character effortlessly. Iftikhar is your caring, loving husband, albeit a bit orthodox about letting his wife work, he wants to provide for her, but does want her to continue her education (mixed green flag there), but we’re okay with it, reality can be bittersweet. Ujala mirrors the young wife who wilfully demands her husband’s attention as a right she’s not willing to forego and also is fully aware of her significance in his life – in a good way.
One fears these two will have to go through a great deal together, and alone, before they are finally able to come through to the other side, (we sincerely hope). Iftikhar and Ujala have our hearts in a very short time, thanks to the screenplay, scripting and performances. It is also heartening to see a frame full of scenic rural landscapes that tease the eye to keep watching!
Final surprise is Ali Rehman Khan – our chief antagonist who happens to have his eye on Ujala too. And that’s all we’ll reveal till you go watch Pas e Deewar – a story that seems to be gathering strength on the intensity scale!
Pas-e-Deewar by Green Entertainment is written by Shagufta Bhatti and directed by Sabeeh Ahmad, it’ll be airing on Green Entertainment. It is produced by Imran Raza Kazmi under the production house IRK Films. The lead cast includes Noor Zafar Khan, Arsalan Naseer, Ali Rehman, Saleem Sheikh, Khalid Butt (late), Naima khan, Ismat Zaidi, Nayyer Ijaz, Nadia Afghan, Khawaja Shayan, Mahnoor Niazi, Sabir Khan, Qasim Mughal, Niaz Aziz, Haroon Khan, Fatima, Shamma Niazi, Adeel Khan, Wasif Naqvi Ahsan, Haroon, and Syed Ali Zaidi urf Chotay.
