It’s hard to recap the week in Pakistani dramas, but we’re going to give it a go anyway. Well, because, somebody’s gotta do it! So read on for your breezy update on Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet, Jaan e Jahan final episode, Jaan Se Pyara Juni, Gentleman, Zard Patton Ka Bunn, Jafaa, Jaan Nisar and Noor Jahan!

Here’s what went down in the Pakistani dramas week that was!
BRKRJ: Why do children have to pay for flawed parenting?

What should Farhaad do? Be with Freeya or his mother? While BRKRJ sheds light on the grave issue of mental health & Farhaad’s mother requiring therapy, our heart goes out to Farhaad whose mental wellbeing is also extremely fragile at the moment. Do you blame parents for placing their adult children in impossible situations?
Gentleman: The dream sequence & “chaar” scored a six in our books!

While many would say: “What’s so special about Gentleman?” We say the ability of the script to surprise us is a win. From Munna crashing into Zarnab’s rikshaw, to handing in his resignation due to “softness” of the heart and Rehmati declaring Zarnab Munna’s bhabi. And then the story went on to reveal a shady Faris vis a vis Mifrah. Is he even loyal to Zarnab?
Oh Jaan e Jahan: You are a winner

The episode belonged to Shehraam and Kishwar – Our hero and anti-hero. We applaud the makers for respecting viewer sentiments and showing both Shehraam & Kishwar true to their original nature – Shehraam for letting Kishwar be, and Kishwar, for choosing to leave rather than suffer further public humiliation. Jaan e Jahan wrapped it up with a happy ending Thank Goodness. Mahnoor, Aliya and Abdul, you light up our hearts!
ZPKB: Meenu & Roshan are handing out goals

Meenu for her resilience to attend college, and Roshan for his determined yet clueless approach to love. One is inspiring & the other makes is smile. In Meenu’s simple yet demanding daily chores, Zard Patton Ka Bunn shows us how a woman’s work is never done, yet she continues to soldier on.
Dr. Nofil & Malaika essay two sides of a coin – One, emotional & the other, pragmatic. Which one echoes your inner voice?
Jaan Se Pyara Juni: Mina vs Husn Ara is why we’re watching!

It’s fun to watch these two roasting each other. Mina is simple yet sharp & Husn Ara face off with her mother inlaw-to-be.
But we want more cute romance between Junaid & Mina. And what is Junaid upto? Is he secretly enjoying Husn Ara’s discomfort? Not as simple as he seems yeah?
Jaan Nisar: Faraz turned out to be a total fraud!

Did you see that coming? Faraz seemed to have no dark history & then all of a sudden, he sells a girl he loves to a brothel owner…
Guess a girl can’t trust anyone!
But we loved the filmy feels of Nosherwan’s mental telepathy with Dua, knowing instantly that she was in danger! Jaffar bhai, you’re not doing your job & will pay for this one. Waiting for Nosherwan to save Dua. Jaan Nisar is turning out to be our guilty pleasure!
Jafaa: a refreshing addition to our drama watch!
Dr. Numair & Dr. Zara essay platonic relationship goals & Moiz and Deebu’s innocent romance is simply love. The first episode was a winner & Hassan’s dubious nature added a layer to the story.
Jafaa had all the feels of an interesting watch & we loved the chooriyan escape scene, Deebu making us sit at the edge of our seat till she was finally home!
Noor Jahan: Toxic mother-in-law trope is back with the loudest bang ever!
Noor Jahan is a force to be reckoned with but we think she’s about to meet her match! The story might be your typical saas-bahu saga but we suspect this one is about to turn the tables and flip the narrative on its head. Why? Well, it’s just a feeling we have. Tell us if you feel the same. Great performances btw. Noor Jahan is killing it already but “Noor Bano & Murad couple feels” is what we’re rooting for!
Oh, and the jewelry was absolute love! Don’t tell us you missed it!
And that is your breezy recap on the Pakistani dramas week that was. Tell us which one you’re watching and which one you’ll skip!
