Qarz e Jaan – Was Nashwa justified in her anger at Burhan for planning her mother and Asim’s wedding with Faryal? Or was it her underlying jealousy about their possible relationship that made her react like that?

Now that Ammar has heard all that is going on about his proposal for Faryal, and how he is being rejected, will we see another tragic incident? Will it be Faryal this time?
The Proposal
We were surprised to see Bakhtiyar and his mother being so adamant about Ammar and Faryal’s marriage because Nashwa clearly seemed a better option; one whom they can control more easily and by default, keep using Behzad’s money as well. That might also prevent her from pursuing Maheen’s case.
But Qudsia seemed to be very clear in her arguments and we loved the scripting here. Her explanation that Ammar is not emotionally mature for marriage and why “everything won’t become okay when a guy gets married and a girl sorts him out” was so well put. The fact that she wasn’t emotionally blackmailed by Sidra into saying yes to the proposal was a great shift in Pakistani drama messaging and must be applauded.
It must be advocated that you cannot marry your daughter to save someone else’s already weak and compromised relationship.
Bakhtiyar shows his true colours and threatens Sidra if she fails to get her sister to say yes.
Well, the drama is at a very interesting point with two possible proposals on the cards…Ammar and Faryal, and Burhan and Faryal. Burhan is clearly interested in Nashwa and will say no to Faryal, though Nashwa is not aware of this. But if Asim is not willing to face the Barkat Villa residents for Burhan’s sake, how will he do it for Bisma?
Does he need a sign from Bisma. And will Bisma ever give him one?
Of Natural Conversations
Asim and Qudsia’s cousin bond and its relatable execution keeps us interested and hooked. A big shout out to the entire team for this. Again, their conversations seem super effortless and relatable, in fact, not scripted in the least which is a giant leap forward indeed.
The Agony of Many Women
Finally, Sidra opens up to Qudsia about the reality of her marriage, as she begs her to say yes to Ammar’s proposal. Her character also represents how many women spend their whole life waiting for affection, attention and love from their husbands. Though she is envious of Bisma because of Asim, she fails to see how miserable Bisma’s life has been and she has also been responsible for that. Unfortunately, she doesn’t realise her role in this.
Relatable Cousin Conversations
Nashwa and Beenish’s conversation about Burhan liking Nashwa or Faryal was so cute and relatable; just how two cousins or friends would debate. Though Nashwa tries to deny it so as not to give false hope to herself, deep in her heart she likes Burhan and wants that he also has feelings for her.
We absolutely love Nashwa, every time she stands up for her mom.
