Actors Of The Week – The roundup of actors who impressed us with their performances. Mawra Hocane, Samar Jafri & more. Catch up here.

1. Nameer Khan as Ammar in Qarz e Jaan
Nameer Khan as Ammar delivered expressions and body language that came together to convey a mix of emotions throughout the two episodes – terrifying rage, silent torture, and perhaps a tinge of remorse later in the episode – a standout performance.
2. Fajr Sheikh as Beenish in Qarz e Jaan
Fajr Sheikh stunned audiences with her portrayal of deep shock and sorrow. Her performance made audiences shed tears as they felt her pain – from being in denial about Asad’s death to walking home, shocked at losing Hadi.
3. Daniyal Aamir as Asad in Qarz e Jaan
Daniyal had just one focal scene to make audiences feel for Asad, and he did it superbly. The moments before his death were performed with great sensitivity as Asad switched from being in charge, to reasoning with Ammar, and finally trying to reach for his phone – making us shudder at the tragedy of it all.
4. Deepak Perwani as Bakhtiyar in Qarz e Jaan
Deepak Perwani mirrored the arrogance, regret, and ego of an intensely proud father who doesn’t know he’s beaten yet. Bakhtiyar fell weak for an instant – his voice wavered with the shock of the events he had to deal with – but then, he returned, fearless and defiant. Well done, Deepak, for a great portrayal of a dark villain!
5. Tazeen Hussain as Bisma in Qarz e Jaan
Tazeen’s helpless posture as she sits down to ponder over the latest tragedy and Nashwa and Beenish’s future made us feel for her immensely. In very few words, she was able to capture Bisma’s intense pain and inner suffering.
6. Samar Jafri as Wali in Parwarish
Wali’s dilemma is evident. He feels out of place in his new environment yet tries to keep it together. His restrained anger at Sameer, frustration at secretly recording his guitar sequence, and plain helplessness at his situation are aptly portrayed by Samar.
7. Abul Hasan as Sameer in Parwarish
Abul is doing a great job at making us laugh with his natural-feel performance as Sameer. He adds a punch to the interaction between Wali and Sameer, and his ability to not back off and put up a good fight is keeping us entertained.
8. Reham Rafiq as Amal in Parwarish
Reham Rafiq delivers a notable performance as Amal in the latest episode. The way she stepped out of the house to let off some steam, then discovered she’s not alone, then tried to calm herself with some deep breathing, was both relatable and connected with many Gen Zers watching.
9. Aina Asif as Maya in Parwarish

Aina delivers a fine variation in tone to her dialogues. Her meltdowns with Wali kept it interesting because of how she delivered the script with highs and lows – not allowing her dialogue delivery to slip into a monotonous monologue. Well done, Aina!
10. Mawra Hocane as Ramsha in Agar Tum Sath Ho
Mawra performed beautifully when she met Farhan in the hospital. Her feelings of guilt, pain, and frustration at Farhan all came together in one brief scene, where she made us realize instantly how much he means to her.
11. Sikandar Nawaz as Shakoor in Faraar
Sikandar Nawaz is showing us why every character can up the game onscreen. Shakoor’s silence, speaking at just the right and measured times, not revealing his inner fear – it’s all part of the character, and Sikandar delivers it on point by keeping it low-key and real.
12. Ahsan Khan as Zawar Shah in Dayan
Ahsan Khan as Zawar Shah navigates his feelings for Nehaal and consideration for Shabab in a finely balanced performance where he attempts to retain his sense of fairness and yet initiate a relationship with Nehaal. A notable performance!
13. Dananeer as Roshi in Meem Se Mohabbat
Dananeer delivers cutely playful and deeply poignant moments as she switches between light-hearted and deeply sensitive during the final episodes. We will certainly miss Roshi, as she holds a very special place in our hearts now!
14. Abu Hurairah as Mohid in MSM

Abu Hurairah impressed, especially when he attempts to speak out finally. It was a teary-eyed moment for all viewers as Mohid calls out to Roshi to stop her from going back home. Well done, Abu Hurairah – you nailed it yet again!
15. Ahad Raza Mir as Talha in MSM
Ahad’s portrayal of Talha – tortured by past memories, not letting go of the trauma, and then crying to heal from the scars that he carries – was an utterly moving moment in the MSM finale, one that will stay with us for a long time to come.
