The new drama serial Bas Tera Saath Ho, written by the late Saira Raza and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed, starring Farhan Saeed and Sana Javed, has aired its first two episodes as of yet. The audience is already quite vocal about their thoughts – check out how they’re liking the story so far!

Bas Tera Saath Ho finally went on air this week, and there was already quite a bit of anticipation around it. The teasers had created a solid impression, with people loving the emotional tone and especially noticing a different side of Farhan Saeed – something he hasn’t really explored before. Naturally, fans were pretty excited to see how the drama would play out once it officially aired.
Now that the first two episodes are out, we’re introduced to Anas – an orphan who lives with his grandfather and his taya’s family, who, quite honestly, don’t treat him well at all. And this is exactly where many viewers have started drawing comparisons to Mere Humsafar, which starred Hania Aamir as Hala and Farhan Saeed as Hamza, as it followed a very similar setup. The scenario closely mirrors Hala’s situation, where she was left with her dadi and had to live with her taya’s family, enduring constant mistreatment and emotional neglect. Because of this, many feel like Anas’ character arc already mirrors that same emotional struggle.
Meanwhile, Ansa, played by Sana Javed, brings a very different energy. She gives off strong Hamza-like vibes from Mere Humsafar – she’s outspoken, confident, doesn’t shy away from speaking her mind, and at times seems like the only person willing to stand up for Anas. In fact, she slowly starts becoming his emotional support and almost acts like his shield in difficult situations, at least for now. That said, her character isn’t one-dimensional either – she clearly has her own struggles and personal conflicts that are yet to fully unfold.
It’s not just the storyline either – some fans also feel that the overall vibe and character dynamics seem quite familiar. This could also be because of the team behind the drama, as well as some similarities in the casting, which naturally remind viewers of Mere Humsafar. The emotional tone, family setup, and even certain character beats feel reminiscent of that hit serial. Of course, it’s still very early days, and the drama could take a completely different turn from here. But for now, audiences are definitely noticing these parallels and are quite vocal about their opinions as the story begins to unfold.
Here’s what viewers are saying as of now!
