DC Fandome virtual event, gave the first teaser of ‘THE BATMAN’ last year, having the fans awaiting for the official trailer, and movie to drop in 2021. Yesterday, the official trailer finally came in and took the fandom by storm. I may not be that much of a DC Comics, but I’ve to an extent followed Justice League and let me tell you, the new Batman has me excited!
Why The Hype
Bruce Wayne gets a makeover with Robert Pattinson’s take on the iconic character. When the news broke out last year about Pattinson being the new Batman, many doubted him. But after watching the trailer now, it may be safe to say that the Twilight star may have surpassed our expectations. We last saw Pattison in The Devil All The Time and in The Tenant. And I certainly had a fangirl moment after seeing our new Batman!
A New Catwoman Too!
The super talented and gorgeous Zoe Kravitz has stepped into Catwoman’s shoes and she’s as stylish, dangerous and mysterious as ever! Can’t wait to see her in action, can you?
Other than that, the movie also stars Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Andy Serkinas Alfred, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Colin Farrell as the evil mastermind, the Penguin (let me tell you’ll have to look twice to recognize him). Safe to say Matt Reeves has done an amazing job, no?
Apparent Story-line
The upcoming release unveils a new blood-thirsty villain in Gotham City who’s after Batman, of course, just after he starts his life’s heroic chapter. Tough time!
However, it seems as if Bruce Wayne seemingly has troubles of his own. He’s shown as a bit more churlish and a little disheveled. His new aura and personality have captivated the audience. (Can you blame them? His emo vibes are hard to miss!)
Fan Reaction
YES! Robert Pattinson has us obsessed!!
A New Favorite Villain In Town
Yes, we’re excited for the Paul Dino to star as the Riddler as the new anti-hero, but we’ll always have a soft spot for the Joker.
Taken Back In Time
Then come those who have been struck by nostalgia. They go on and reminisce on the times when Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton and George Clooney played our mysterious hero.
All The Best For Catwoman
Finally, DC and Marvel; The Best Of Both Worlds!
Marvel has many upcoming shows and films set to release and fans can now get the best of both world. Spiderman and Batman coming back to back? Could it get any better?
The Thrill Is Real!
In just a few hours the trailer has surpassed a whooping 2 million views on YouTube and we’re loving it.
PS, shout out to Greig Fraser, the cinematography and stills are everything!
