Benaam is directed by ‘Dil Tanha Tanha’ director, Ali Masud Saeed, and written by Seema Sheikh of ‘Pakeeza Phuppo.’ Moreover, the drama is aired on Ary Digital. The star cast of the drama includes the ever-charming Komal Meer from Ehd e Wafa, Wafa Bemol with Noor Hasan & Anoushay Abbasi alongside Saad Qureshi from Meer Abru and Mehboob Apke Qadmon Main also in the lead. It also includes talented actors like Waseem Abbas, Nadia Hussain, Shazeal Shoukat & Babar Ali of Amanat.

Anoushay is gradually carving a niche in the industry. With projects like Prem Gali, Raqs e Bismil under her belt, let’s hope we get to see more of her in Benaam. Noor Hassan from Shanakht and Meera Abro has acted in several Pakistani dramas (including Khizer in Humsafar). He plays Haider in the drama. Haider loves a girl Komal Meer but he can’t marry her. Instead, he ends up marrying Raima – Shazeal Shoukat.
Is Benaam Another Sisterhood Story With Ups & Downs?
Since its first episode is out, we see hints of a storyline following a lively sisterly bond – Komal Meer & Anoushay Abbasi stay positive but with the usual desi feels thrown in. Moreover, the exchange of dialogues and the setting of scenes from the episode isn’t something we haven’t seen before. However, we’re hoping the drama delivers positive messages and isn’t yet another unrequited love story. The story might serve (expectedly) as a positive & promising relationship between sisters for the audience. Relieved not to feel ‘Jalan‘, vibes, we hope the makers of Benaam give us something exciting and different this time!
