Understanding Your Undertone
- Cool undertone: This consists of pink, red-ish or blue tones
- Warm undertone: These are recognized with the presence of yellow, golden and peach tones.
- Neutral undertone: It’s neither cool or neutral. There’s a sort of balance on the surface.
The Simple Trick to Nail Your Undertone
The wrist test is a simple method to help determine your skin’s undertone. To do the test, look at the veins on the inside of your wrist in natural light.
Cool undertones: If your veins appear blue or purple, you’re likely to have cool undertones.
Warm undertones: If your veins appear greenish or olive, this indicates warm undertones.
Neutral undertones: If you can’t easily tell whether your veins are blue or green, you might have neutral undertones, which means you have a mix of both cool and warm hues.
Keep in mind, the wrist test isn’t foolproof, but it can give you a general idea of your undertone to help with selecting makeup or clothing colors.
