Journey Of Zubia & Saim
We have seen the journey of Zubia and Saim; crossing over to the love zone from just being friends, fighting for their love with their families, to facing each other’s demons, they ended up leaving each other. But that doesn’t mean, they have forgotten each other, or the love is no more. If nothing else, it is present now with more power and more pain.
The director Shahid Shafaat works his magic by almost bringing Zubia and Saim face to face and then, missing each other just by a few seconds. Just when we gave up on them ever seeing each other, he surprises us with Zubia appearing at Saim’s house in the rain. For a minute just like Saim, we also thought it might be a dream, but thankfully, it wasn’t.
Time Lapse Executed Well
The 4 year time lapse is well placed and well executed. Slight changes in their appearance show they both have become more mature, they both have achieved their dreams. They just don’t have each other. So we enjoy the lapse in time and are curious to find out what happens next.
Zubia and Saim’s story has romance, surprise, heartache, betrayal, broken dreams and lots and lots of memories for them and for us viewers also. The onscreen chemistry and performances are mentioned worthy. Last but not the least, Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri focus on Zubia and Saim rather than surrounding characters and limited toxicity is something to applaud.
