Is Ameera flirting with him or trying to remind Maqsood of the old Sakina that no longer exists? She seems to have a bone to pick with Maqsood Sahib, perhaps taking revenge for her father’s 20 years of living in a loveless marriage? Oh yes, Raqeeb Se characters run deeper than the deepest oceans, and we are often left second-guessing the reasons behind their actions!
BTW Maqsood Sahib, Sakina might be the queen of your heart but we think you should have knocked before barging into her room.

Why did Maqsood Sahib’s rage fall on Sakina and not on Hajra?
When your wife is the doosri aurat in your life, when your husband is never angry with you because your relationship is devoid of passion, or deep emotional attachment, when your daughter becomes your biggest critic & support at the same time, when children judge their parents & see through their human frailties, when husband & wife live together yet apart for over 20 years… when a daughter has to settle her mom’s home before she thinks of her own marriage…when a woman consoles another woman in the knowledge that they’re both in love with the same man… Bee Gul leaves us in a trance… did we just see poetry in motion as the finest understanding of the multilayered human being revealing all his layers in measured episodes?
Raqeeb Se gives us fleshed out characters with so much meat on them that we have a hard time grasping on to the layered conversations. Yet, when we examine them in the light of our own life experiences, we find that they might not be far from the truth at all!
Raqeeb Se is story telling at its best! And we can’t wait for episode 8, marking the comeback of Rafeeq Ali!
