SharPasand: 3 Things I Absolutely Loved About The Latest Episode

If a couple doesn’t have kids, we usually say, “Let’s get some tests done for the wife.” That’s exactly what Rubina does in the second episode when she asks Fida and Sanam, “2 saal mein kuch nahi hua?” and then tells Fida, “I’ll take her to the doctor.” This simple conversation captures a mindset that has shaped our society for years. SharPasand challenges that very mindset by showing that infertility is not just a woman’s issue, and the latest episode brings that message home in the most emotional way.

SharPasand isn a perfect mix of everything. It blends suspense and conspiracy with real-life emotional moments, occasionally touches on familiar tropes, but always manages to stay relatable. The drama knows how to balance storytelling with social messaging, and that makes it stand out from the usual fare. Even though I already had an idea of what was coming, the latest episode kept me completely absorbed. The reveal about Fida’s infertility was handled with such subtlety and care that it felt raw and personal.

Before moving on to the good things, one thing that could have been handled better was the medical explanation. In an age where many diseases and conditions that couldn’t be treated earlier are now manageable, the doctor’s approach felt rushed, and for a topic as sensitive and complex as infertility, a little more context would have gone a long way. Infertility affects men and women differently, and there are many conditions – some treatable, some not. Even a brief discussion about second opinions or treatment options could have offered hope and guidance to viewers who might be facing similar situations. SharPasand is doing important work by starting this conversation, but a bit more depth here would have made the episode even stronger and more informative.

1. Showing men’s struggles in a realistic way

For too long, dramas have focused only on women when it comes to fertility issues, rarely showing how much men are affected. Fida’s reaction was heartbreaking because it felt so real. The shock, the shame, the instinct to withdraw and face it alone – all of it was so palpable. You could see him wrestling with feelings of inadequacy, the sense that his self-worth had taken a hit, and the fear that this reality might redefine his identity. What made it even more powerful was that the show didn’t try to overdramatize it. It just let the moment breathe and let us feel every ounce of his struggle. It was a subtle reminder that men experience disappointment, societal pressure, and emotional trauma just as deeply as women, and it was refreshing to see a drama acknowledge that.

2. Performance and cinematic nuances

The performance in this episode was phenomenal. Both Hareem Farooq and Affan Waheed played it brilliantly. The close-ups, the pauses, the soft OST playing in the background – it all came together to create an atmosphere that pulled you right into the characters’ emotions. Every glance, every hesitation, every micro-expression added so much depth. You could feel the tension, the heartache, and the attempts to process the news, all without a single over-the-top reaction. The cinematography and direction made the scene feel intimate, raw, and incredibly real. It was the kind of storytelling where silence speaks louder than words.

3. Sanam as Fida’s rock

What really struck me was Sanam. Fida is broken, in denial, and trying to come to terms with a reality he never imagined. The reports didn’t shatter her, though. She is there for him, quietly, steadily, without judgment or pressure. She lets him process his feelings in his own time while silently carrying part of the emotional weight with him. The way the drama captures their partnership in this moment is so beautiful. It is not about grand gestures or melodrama but about companionship, patience, and being a constant support. Even when he is trying to retreat into himself, she remains his rock, giving him space but never letting him face the burden alone. It was incredibly human, relatable, and heartwarming to see.

This episode of SharPasand felt like a meaningful step forward, exploring topics that are usually left untouched. It’s a reminder that stories can be both engaging and socially relevant without being preachy. The show manages to spark conversations, make viewers reflect, and still keep the narrative compelling. It will be interesting to see how the characters navigate the journey ahead and how the story continues to challenge societal expectations. Do you guys have anything to add?
