Murtasim’s Past
Twitter is divided over Murtasim’s lesser-known past – his dream to be a wildlife photographer. Some feel his sacrifice needed to be bigger and others feel his pain was enough. Well, if you have ever been stuck in a job that you didn’t want to do or detested intensely, you would know how torturous and excruciatingly agonizing it can be, affecting your whole being. To give up on your dreams and to be part of a system you can’t change much is definitely devastating.
We actually thought after listening to this emotional and oh so heartfelt confession by Murtasim, Meerab would actually tear down the contract but alas, Murtasim still has to wait. It was a touching scene and we witnessed a sensitive response from Meerab. She became teary eyed and despite not uttering a single word, her expressions conveyed everything.
The promo of the next episode has us hooked and we can’t wait to see what happens next.
Meerab’s misinformed actions
Many viewers are losing their patience with Meerab as the script keeps making her commit grave errors of judgement. But we have to give credit this time, that the flow of events justifies Meerab’s reaction. The way Anas tricked her, one can’t blame Meerab’s actions fully. But one has to give her credit that she still doesn’t think that Murtasim lied to her and Mariam, she trusts him and thinks there must be a misunderstanding. Her intentions are well-meaning even though her actions might be misguided.
It was shocking to see Meerab helping Mariam elope with Malik Zubair. But there is a lot going on inside Meerab’s mind. She genuinely wants to help Mariam. If you look deeper, Meerab also harbours a desperate need to feel she has helped someone escape a future that she couldn’t escape herself, hence she rebels against the system. She also believes Murtasim will forgive Mariam once she returns, so she will prove to Haya that Murtasim does love her.
Looks like Haya borrowed Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak since, despite standing right in front of Malik Zubair, he just couldn’t see her.
