The 8th Hum Awards were held in Toronto, Canada last night. While many criticized the timing and fanfare that accompanied the event vis-à-vis the recent flood relief efforts in Pakistan, (the awards organizers have announced donation of part of the proceeds to flood relief), the awards did recognize standout performances in the drama and entertainment industry over the past year.
