Bismil is teeters on an emotional climax; the intense story line brings characters to face-off against each other. As audiences anticipate the next episodes, each character has us invested in their story. Here’s where we are so far in Bismil, and the drama is about to become even more dramatic in future episodes.
Musa
The most significant character at this moment. He not only vocally advocates for injustice done to his mother, but also asks all the right questions, shikwas that any woman would voice in this situation. He also highlights how men’s mental health is affected by what is happening to his family. No matter how old he is, the shame, the disbelief, the breakdown of his family and the image of his ‘ideal father’ takes an immense toll on his emotional and mental health.
TT (Tauqeer)
The audacity of TT is amazing. How can he blame Reham for involving her own son? Behaving as if he is the victim in this situation without realizing how he has hurt and damaged his family. The way he picked up his coffee so normally after all that Musa had said to him, and telling Musa: “aisay to main akaila reh jaaon ga”, shows that deep, down inside, he is a really selfish man.
Reham
What a dignified response, winning the audiences. Her world has come crashing down. She is recalling all the moments when she was important in his life. Her emotions representing all the women who suffer betrayal by their husbands.
Musa and Reham
A lovely mother-son relationship brings tears to your eyes. As an audience, you feel comforted that she has Musa looking after her and fighting for her. Often, children choose to stay neutral. The mother who is already going through an excruciating time, would have been troubled further if Musa had not stood by her.
Masooma
Well, Masooma reveals there is no limit to her devious plans. She also scares you, as to what she will do next. Her last dialogues that she will make sure TT’s house will also witness a dead body, was scary. It also gives a very different angle to the entire story.
Musa and Masooma
Instead of staying silent or crying, both Musa and Masooma have decided to seek revenge. Both have blood and death on their minds. Will we actually see one of them succeed in killing someone in each other’s families?
