Dr. Nofil Is Going Back Home
Oh Dr Nofil, don’t break our heart and don’t leave. But can we really blame him, he did try all he could, but the villagers are not willing to give him a chance, no matter what. Zard Patton Ka Bunn highlights the reality of doctors, medical facilities and challenges they face in faraway towns.
We thought Meenu might ask Nofil to help her with getting back at the girls in her college, but Meenu’s vision and aim is beyond all these things. She chose to utilize Dr. Nofil’s capabilities for studies, which was such a nice thing to see.
Malik Nadir & His Goons
Malik Nadir and his goons, on the face of it, don’t seem that intelligent or lethal but it would be a mistake to undermine them. He does burn the motorbike, to give a warning to the Dr Nofil but we are glad it failed to scare Dr Nofil at all. Dr Nofil is not scared, he is frustrated and giving up because of no response from the villagers. It is good to see that the drama is showing this fearless nature of Dr. Nofil through subliminal narratives, and not throwing it right in your face.
It was uplifting to see the mom protecting Meenu and being on her side, telling her how to go for her studies while she distracts her brothers. It is important to show these characters who facilitate Meenu and also send a message how to help your daughters.
Child Labor
Zard Patton Ka Bunn introduces the perils of child labor. That little girl has broken ribs which is the result of beating from her employers. This incident is a wakeup call that Afzal Khan needs, making him realize the village needs a real doctor and not him. Also, the reason which will bring Dr. Nofil back probably.
While never losing sight of the important issue, the drama also makes us laugh and smile at many moments. When Dr. Nofal makes Afzal Khan the in charge of phone calls, the conversation with the villagers, and of course Meenu not giving up on convincing Dr. Nofil to teach her.
A big shout out to great performances and on-screen chemistry of Sajal Aly and Hamza Sohail, making the drama really interesting to watch.
