Who would have thought that we could fall in love with Ishq e laa even more before the first episode was aired? At least not me! The thought of seeing my two personal favourites, Sajal and Yumna together on screen along with the heartthrob Azaan Sami Khan was a reason big enough to make me add it to my watch list. However, the teasers have left my in complete awe! The narrative seems promising and looks like we have a lot to look forward to. Ishq e laa is directed by Amin Iqbal who has previously directed Dushman e Jaan and Deedan and is penned by Qaisra Hayat who has previously written Alif Allah Aur Insaan seems to be a tough contender for all other dramas around the block.
The drama is a Momina Duraid Production and will be aired on HUM Network. Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay, Parizaad, Laapata-how many more surprises do you have in store for us HUM TV?
Well, we most certainly are not complaining! Without further ado let’s look at the teasers:
Teaser 1- Starring Sajal Aly and Azan Sami Khan
The first teaser has literally given me goosebumps! The first shot of the mountains to the last shot of Sajal and Azan taking a picture was mesmerizing and had enough magic in it to transport us to a different world. From the first teaser we can predict that it is going to be a romantic thriller. Sajal who will be playing the character of Shanaya looks completely fit for this role. Shanaya seems to be a news reporter who leads her life on her own terms. She is shown to be fearless and empowering.
The charisma of Sajal is that she makes you forget her previous characters and the aura that is attached to her as a star. Instead, she effortlessly transports the audience to a new world which has a different set of emotions and energy and allows her audience to fully immerse themselves in her character.
From the teaser we can see that Azan and Sajal will be romantically involved and might find themselves surrounded in conflicts due to differences in interest and opinions at one point. Nevertheless, they have our attention! They both look great together on screen and even in and under a fast paced 40 seconds, have convinced us about the promising chemistry they will share on screen.
It seems that Azan will be giving us a promising debut and we must say that he looks dreamy. Kudos to him to make his mark and look so impactful as he shares the screen with one of the finest actresses of our industry. Also, Laila Wasti who is currently amazing us with her performance in HKKST managed to draw our attention despite a fleeting glimpse onscreen.
Teaser 2- Starring Yumna Zaidi
Yumna came and she conquered! Her tears went straight to our hearts and made us cry along with her. From the trailer we can surmise that Yumna comes from a family with her fair set of challenges. However, from the trailer we can presume that she is a strong girl who has her insecurities but knows how to veil them from the outside world.
Yumna looks stunning even in the simple attire and her innocence is reflecting through the screen. How will Yumna’s character cross paths with that of Sajal & Azan’s remains to be seen, but as for now we can determine that through the central characters social messages will be given. Kudos to Qaisra Hayat & director Amin Iqbal for incorporating such seemingly strong characters into the narrative. In addition to this, apart from the stellar trio, the other cast members include Sohail Sameer, Uzma Hassan, Usman Pirzada, Simi Raheel and Adnan samad who we saw as Gulzar in Ehd e Wafa. All in all we are really excited for this one. We hope the drama delivers what the teasers have promised – intense emotions, action, and of course, romance.
