Qarz E Jaan has us hooked with each episode. This Yumna Zaidi drama has just taken a turn and we are all in! Read more

It feels like old times when you knew that a Yumna Zaidi drama will entertain you and stand for something strong. QJ is exactly that, with strong performances, a gripping storyline, and some very important issues at the core of the script. QJ is for those who are looking for something more than a love story and saas-bahu conflicts.
Nashwa and Bisma’s onscreen chemistry is a treat to watch.
The conversations between the mother-daughter duo remind you of the constant debates any girl would have with her mother. The way Nashwa understands exactly what Bisma just went through after being harassed by her brother-in-law, the way Bisma didn’t have to say a single word… holding each other’s hands, the entire scene was emotional and moving. Kudos to the talented actors and director for this great scene.
Another beautiful moment was when Nashwa asked her mother about sharing at least one beautiful moment with her father. The conversation, the bond between mother and daughter, was absolutely heart-winning. A big shoutout to both Yumna Zaidi and Tazeen Hussain for great performances.
Does Bakhtiyar’s wife really not know what her husband is up to?
Or is she purposely choosing to stay silent and look the other way, as having Bisma at home and managing the entire household is a luxury she cannot afford to let go of?
Bakhtiyar very cleverly not only gave Nashwa permission to practice law but also saved money he pays to other lawyers and avoided the headache of dealing with his mother’s affairs—something he certainly doesn’t want to do anymore.
But little does he know that he just created his biggest enemy by letting Nashwa practice law.
Nashwa’s discovery
Without knowing it, Nashwa has become a key witness in the murder and rape case of Mahi. She is the one who has seen Ammar coming back early in the morning, and by touching the bonnet of the car, she knows he didn’t go to the mosque as he claimed. He must have been coming from a place much further away.
Ammar talking with friends did give us a hint that something bad was about to happen, but that it could be a story about gang rape and heartless murder was slightly shocking.
We have watched multiple “justice for rape” stories; how will this one be different? We are curious to know. Will Yumna Zaidi win us over by highlighting yet again that when she chooses a script with a message and meaning, it is a game-changer?
What Is Burhan Up To
Why is Burhan purchasing property that already belongs to his father? What is the mystery there? Is Burhan somebody who will stand for justice?
It looks like all the female lawyers are smitten by Burhan’s good looks and personality. Will this factor play a substantial part as the drama unfolds?
