Is Sultan just a red flag or a mentally disturbed person? Asra and Sultan’s story is highlighting many relevant abuse themes covered under the guise of unconditional love and care. Mental abuse and control is not always apparent and many times, a result of childhood trauma. Should Parizay pay such a heavy price for a mistake made in her childhood?

Sultan Acing His Game Plan
Sultan is acing his planning and scheming game; gradually, and without Asra realising it, manipulating her, taking control of her choices.
He is using the classic manipulation tactics of being totally sweet and heart-winning in front of everyone, uttering the right words and sentences so no one can question him. The way he told Asra, baray jo bhi faisla kertay hain, sahih kertay hain, the way he went down on his knees to receive Asra at the wedding were all sentences and gestures that would win everyone.
Should You Change Your Life Choices For Love?
Can Asra really be blamed for choosing to wear what Sultan, the love of her life, wants her to wear? That is supposed to be a gesture of care. But if the person on the other side is someone struggling with mental health and control issues, the very same gesture can turn out to be fatal for the other person.
What Happened To Hala?
Did all the wealth and grandness of the event hit her inferiority complex making her jealous of Asra and sad at not having these things herself.
Asra is completely lost in her own world. Is it that too much love has led to her being naive and not able to recognise any red flags? At the wedding, instead of thinking why Sultan would want to make her appear less attractive than himself by asking her to wear a lighter colour, she asked him if he didn’t think she was looking beautiful? She completely missed the point. Will she ever realise what is happening to her or about to happen, or will she be one of those women striving to lose themselves completely in a futile effort to always please their narcissistic husbands?
Positive Sibling Bond
Asra and her brother’s bond is heart-winning and it is so nice to see such positivity on screen.
Asra’s mother is probably the only one who can look through Sultan and does warn her son but alas, sometimes parents’ concerns are over looked in favour of changing times.
Is Sultan Too Mentally Disturbed To be Healed?
We finally saw what happened between Parizay and Sultan. Though we are still waiting to find out how exactly she reached the mental institute. Sultan is actually so mentally disturbed and needs help, that even though he has reduced Parizay to this condition, his need for revenge or to see her in pain has still not diminished. He indeed enjoys watching her suffer.
