Ahmed Majeed, who just joined the Parwarish fam, is our guest on Gup Shup With FUCHSIA today!

Parwarish has been sparking a lot of interesting conversations lately. It’s brought together a mix of fresh faces and familiar actors, some we’re seeing for the first time, and others we’re rediscovering in a whole new light. The drama has given them roles that really let their talent shine, helping us connect with them in more relatable and meaningful ways.
And speaking of familiar-yet-fresh faces, today we have Ahmed Majeed with us! While he just entered the world of Parwarish last week, many of us remember seeing him in Jhoom too. And now, there’s already a little buzz about some butterflies between his character and Amal. Let’s see what Ahmed has to share with us, maybe a little scoop, maybe a little surprise!
So, How Did Ahmed Majeed Get Into Acting?
My brother inspired me. He was the catalyst that started my journey.
Ahmed Majeed
Ahmed Majeed shared that his journey into acting started when he saw his older brother perform on stage for the first time. Seeing someone so familiar step into a different world on stage left a strong impression on him. The real nudge came later in 10th grade during a casual classroom chat when a friend suggested he audition for a role in Moulin Rouge with Shah Sharabeel. She thought he’d be a perfect fit for a character named Toulouse. Ahmed decided to give it a shot and showed up at Indus Valley for the audition, already knowing the character he wanted to play. That small step turned out to be a big moment. Shah Sharabeel was impressed by his clarity and effort, and gave him the role. That early trust helped build his confidence and made him feel like he was on the right path. Ahmed shared that he wasn’t doing too well academically at the time, so theatre quickly became a space where he felt seen and capable. From that first role to working again with Sharabeel later, acting slowly turned into a passion, and eventually, a career.
Which Was Ahmed’s First Project On TV, And Was It Easy?
I started with Shadi Mubarak in 2012.
Ahmed Majeed
Ahmed Majeed shared that his first break on television came with the drama Shaadi Mubarak around 2012. The drama featured Ayeza Khan in the lead, and Ahmed played Rufi, a character who comes from England and supports the main storyline. It was a small role, but a memorable first step into the world of TV. He followed it up with another drama for Geo called Yeh Chahatein Yeh Shiddatein in 2016, slowly building his on-screen presence. But moving from theatre to television wasn’t exactly a smooth ride. Ahmed explained that theatre demands big, expressive movements, while TV requires a more controlled and subtle approach. That contrast took some time to adjust to. The stage had been his comfort zone, but learning to perform for the camera helped him grow and stretch his skills as an actor.
Did Ahmed Always Want To Be A TV Actor, Or Was Theatre The Dream?
If I could, I would have done theatre all my life.
Ahmed Majeed
When asked about his original dream, Ahmed Majeed admitted that if it were up to him, he would’ve happily stuck to theatre for life. The stage was where his passion truly lived, it kept him grounded, creative, and fully present in the moment. But as much as he loved it, he also acknowledged the practical side of things. Theatre in Pakistan, he shared, just isn’t financially sustainable enough to build a full-time career around. Despite the shift, Ahmed believes in staying connected to his roots. He hopes to do at least one theatre production every year, not just out of love for the art, but to keep his skills sharp and his creative instincts alive.
What Does Love Mean To Ahmed Majeed?
For me, love is forgiveness.
Ahmed Majeed
When asked about how his generation defines love, Ahmed Majeed offered a heartfelt and reflective take. He said he doesn’t believe love has one clear definition, but if he had to choose a quality that captures its essence, it would be forgiveness. For him, love is deeply tied to the ability to forgive, especially when someone has hurt or disappointed you. In his eyes, the purest form of love isn’t grand gestures, it’s the quiet strength of forgiving and choosing to move forward.
What Are Red Flags For Ahmed Majeed In A Relationship?
The biggest red flag for me is someone who doesn’t believe in the importance of mental health.
Ahmed Majeed
When it comes to red flags, Ahmed Majeed says it’s less about having a fixed checklist and more about instinct. He shared that he tends to pick up on things naturally, if something feels off or shady, he just knows. But if he had to name a couple of clear red flags, two things stand out. First is manipulation, he sees it as a major red flag in any kind of relationship. The second, and even more important to him, is when someone doesn’t believe in the importance of mental health. For Ahmed, emotional well-being and awareness matter deeply, and being with someone who doesn’t value that is a no-go.
How Did Ahmed Majeed Get Cast In Parwarish? A Catch-Up Turned Opportunity!
I said yes to Parwarish without thinking twice.
Ahmed Majeed
Ahmed Majeed shared that his journey into Parwarish began quite casually. He was attending the trailer launch of Shamsher where he met Reham Rafiq after nearly two years. The two got talking, catching up on life and work, and Ahmed congratulated her on how well Parwarish was doing. In the middle of that conversation, Reham said: “If you ever get a chance, work with Meesam Bhai.” The very next day, Ahmed got a call from Reham. She told him about a character in Parwarish and shared the track with him, it was a real opportunity to work with Meesam Naqvi. Without thinking twice, he said yes. He trusted Reham completely, especially after having worked with her in Jhoom, where she had been a wonderful co-star. For Ahmed, when a recommendation like that comes from someone you trust, you just go for it, and the next day, he was already on set.
